Its the shit PCs, not the connection.
No hes actually right, the PC’s are fine.
Monkeh, I’m guessing its probably broken switches (the “boxes” you talk of :P) or something. Honestly though I’m not there so I couldn’t say, but its certainly not something that shouldn’t have been fixed the first time it happened.

Back from the LAN – and my ass is still sore from all the rape. :) Although we didn’t get a single point, it was still awesome to be able to participate in the tournament. The final itself was so thrilling it would be a huge underestimation to call it nothing short of spectacular.

There were different kind of problems, PCs dropping out of LAN for some reason and then crashes most likely related to people’s own configs.
All n all fkn great fun still! Thanks to everyone who took part in the mindless partying on Friday, love ya lads.
Also extra kudos to broder and TCM for giving us the best and tightest games we’ve ever played
Disconnects, malfunctioning mumble, mouse lags. Debating how much impact it had on results gets pretty pointless. Some were lucky and some weren’t. In the end, it’s all about the event. And the event was a great overall experience.
The technical problems must suck for the players, but at least the tournament wasn’t played with 3D glasses… :D
From a spectator’s point of view, the event wasn’t only great, it was nearly perfect. I would’ve liked to see the bronze match on the main stage, but I guess you can’t have everything in an event that’s this big. At least we got some awesome exposure in the final that was probably great to spec for the random LAN guy, too.
Had a blast with all the Finnish and European players as well, so GG guys.

they played a short, under 2 minutes long clip a couple of times before some games. It was edited by bonez iirc. “This summer euros will airstrafe”

Plz give me new legs! just get home from arena (Tue-Sun, uh!).
Network problems try solved our netcrew, but they dont found reason why sometimes players connection lost. Its possible Realtek NIC and Zyxel/Cisco Switches were not compatible this year :/
We have same PCs 150pcs all over arena, but only pro gaming computers lost connections sometimes when game are progress.
