6 Teams are unverified due to missing Steam ID’s.
65/128 now, past the halfway stage! o/
Does it say which teams who are missing Steam IDs so we can poke ’em?
Ive been going at it all day trying to get teams to join, seems like I got 3 of them in

It would be an idea to have the ETF2L bot have a timed spam of this and also the pickup bots, if possible.

Fixed schedule makes it possible to hold a cup like this in two weeks on a couple of days.
Quoted from Mole
Take one look at the league, and most leagues. Teams aren’t capable of making sure one game a week happens, let alone potentially more than one a night!
It’s not like I suggested to have the exact same scheduling system as ETF2L. The scheduling could be flexible while still having a tight schedule in relation to ETF2L. I mean, the only reason our team can’t participate is because I’ll come home half an hour too late on Thursday.
I’m not saying cups like these are “doing it wrong” or that I should be able to participate in all cups, it’s just a bit weird that people expect more clans to have all of their members online at an exact time that they can’t choose.

Couldn’t you sign up anyway, play the Monday night set of games, and assuming you make it to Thursday, get a sub/merc? And then if your team wins that first game on Thurs you’ll be around for the next game, right?
Not trolling at all btw, just seems weird to me that teams are so obsessed about running the same 6 guys when they have more than 6 on their roster and close friends/allies that are willing mercs to the point of not signing up to cups or wildcarding their games into infinity.
Aye, get in even if you are not sure can you play the cup, support the site that is supporting the game we’re playing so well. :>
Teams signed 68/128 atm. and 4+ days left to register.

No mercs are allowed. You’d have to take someone from your lineup on ESH.
We signed up! :)

Says the player that has three 5-0 results in their league matches and have never dropped a map this season. Man up and support TF2 – I doubt you’ll fold if you get beaten by a better team. You may actually learn something.
we played ALL ESH Cups except one and we got in every cup steamrolled by a div1 team…
and pls look our past seasons we dropped many maps.. so dont talk shit

Its not just you who have been steamrolled every cup by a team better than them. The cup is designed for fun, I personally enjoyed the experience of playing against a better team, you’re able to learn atleast one thing from it :)
Just sign up for the community – Even if you don’t play it proves we have numbers.

The reason I am not talking shit is that I specifically mentioned this season where you have 6-0 all your games (well played by the way). Nevertheless this is completely off topic and what I was trying to point out was that there were 393 teams signed up for season 7 of the ETF2L – it is not outwith the bounds of reason to expect less than a third of these teams to get off their arses and sign up for a competition that is actually stretching the TF2 community.
I know that it’ll be won by a div 1 team, I should bloody well hope so, but that doesn’t exclude the lower div teams from participating.
Unless I’m mistaken there will be only 16 teams left after Monday’s games. So if you are div4-6 and not sure if you can play Thursday you might just give it a shot (it’s better then a pcw night for sure). If your div5 team does pull the awesome stunt of being part of the last 16 teams it’s worth it to cancel all real life activity’s and bringing in some shout-casters. :p

As much as I’m aware that these cups help tf2, you can’t be that surprised by peoples reluctance. If you’re a top team you have to play 4 really boring games before you’re even slightly challenged, if you’re a bottom team you’re lucky if you get more than one game. If you’re division 2 you generally get 1 good game (first challenge you either lose and thats it, or win and get raped in the next game by a top seed), everything prior is a snooze.
Perhaps division 3 teams have fun though, I see it as a waste of an evening that I just hope will pay off someday.

@ Kaidus: Maybe they should place all div 1 / top div 2 teams further up the ladder so their first match for example will be in round 3. This might create more equal matches at the start of the tournament and more fun for everyone maybe ?
