Even if you can’t make the dates or don’t want to play its better to sign up and not play/default your game than to leave empty slots.
Since cG is still looking for a scout and a solly, are we allowed to play under the ‘Cobra Gaming’ name but field two people who don’t wear the tag (and aren’t actually in the clan)?
as in, is this a team challenge or a clan challenge? because we can field a team.

hunh? :D you need em on roster in ESH webby… just ask a couple peeps? :)

just get them on the roster and it’ll be fine.
NOW I JUST WANT EVERYBODY TO SIGNUP AND STOP MOANING.
We might be a div1 team, but we sign up for the practise, not to be a serious contender for the 500 euro, if everybody thinks like this, the cup should be filled in no time.
NOW JUST DO IT
@ exfane: SIR YES SIR.
damnit, why cant more people be online so i can spam the shit of them :P
I got one team to sign up tho – yay!
I don’t understand why it is a 128 team cup, why not just 64? The first round isn’t gonna be that exciting. It will be a bunch och div5-6 teams getting steamrolled by a bunch of div4+ teams.
Yeah I get it, Sapphire will get more publicity with reaching out to 64 more teams.
But if you promote the semifinals and finals a lot more and make the semifinal bo3 as well you can get the needed publicity there, just hype the games with a news post.

Why does the FIFA world cup have 32 teams – there are only 7 that have won it before, lets just invite them and the single next best team?
The 64 team cups were filled straight away, so the next best thing to do is increase the size of the cup. Everyone whined at ETF2L to increase the size of the league so why not the cup?
Just sign up – it’s only 30 minutes out of your day on the 15th and it may actually encourage more support, sponsorship and coverage. It really is a no lose situation.
If you play tf2 just to win, you might as well retire already.
Cups like this serves for most teams as a fun change from the usual pcw grind. It’s a well organized, easy to participate cup. My team has participated in every one this year, and has had nothing but fun games and good times from this.
Yep its just 30 mins of your time, if your as good as we are in -=Crazy=- its only 10 mins of your time vs a 5 man div 1 side! But it was a dam good fun 10 mins :P

Let the teams schedule their games and our team will join every cup. I think fixed times are one of the biggest reasons why there’s so few teams signing up.

Fixed schedule makes it possible to hold a cup like this in two weeks on a couple of days.

Take one look at the league, and most leagues. Teams aren’t capable of making sure one game a week happens, let alone potentially more than one a night!
I mean this in general to all, not directed at compton or cc: As I say, look at the bigger picture. These one night cups are potentially a taster for something bigger, what is happening is that the waters are being tested to see if its worth supporting TF2 and if it can reach a decent size. Support it by signing up and showing TF2 has numbers, even if you are going to struggle to make it.
