Its 2 UK players in your starting lineup for each game. You can’t get away with just putting 2 UK players on your roster.
Where does it say that, Mole?
That wouldn’t quite fit with the “2 UK players OR UK org” thing.
I knew this would happen. Can’t say I’m remotely happy about it, in fact it feels like UKeSA is punishing TF2 for doing everything we can to push signups for the league.
We have two options now. We can boycott it and lose the only major prize-fund league that TF2 currently has available, or we can try to push it as much as possible with teams that meet the requirements.
I think all of this season’s Premiership teams (excluding folds etc) are eligible for the coming season because they’re UK-registered organisations.
We’re not going to be the “top dog” this season, that’s for sure, but I still think it’d be great if we could get TF2 back in to the Premiership.
I’ll speak to DeNeusBeer or someone, see if we can draw up a list of all eligible teams from ETF2L then go from there.
Dr. Gonzo on Cadred:
For next season we made changes to the eligibility criteria as the whole 51% of the IP and all the rest of it was a logistical nightmare to check and enforce. To simplify matters the new criteria is now to be that orgs must have at least two UK players in the starting line-up OR be a registered UK company. On the site they must also show a UK flag.
only adding 2 random uk players would be too easy dunc ;)
Dr Gonzo also went on to clarify “starting lineup” in that thread, and basically they are closing any loopholes. You need at least 2 UK players playing in each match.
Also lol at “you need a UK flag on your website”. What about a portrait of the Queen? Anyone up for forming BNP.esports.tf2?
LOOPHOLE!
Let’s all agree to draw the first map by using random pubbers from UK and then remove those players and reinstate the players! It does not say that we need two uk players throughout the match!
You need to drink a cup of tea before the match as well.
Lets be fair, the UKeSa is setup to improve the UK gaming scene. They’re only attempting to enforce the plan they origionally set out in the first place. The only difference now is that the council has some people that have an idea of wtf they’re doing while the first seasons setup was put together by people without a clue. We just ‘cheated’ the system in abusing a loophole (have UK players register as a fake manager) to get our numbers up.
“To simplify matters the new criteria is now to be that orgs must have at least two UK players in the starting line-up OR be a registered UK company.”
So if one of the UK players cant make it on one day, you cant play the match. wp ukesa -.-
I’d imagien that cod/css will also suffer slightly by this rule so dont despair just yet as tf2 has a chance of getting into the premis…
Just go out and make a uk org :P
With a first team 2nd team 3rd team 4th team etc etc
