So, since a “LAN´s in Germany” Thread has just been opened up, and the final information about CDC5 is only hours away, im going to post an article i have written up 2 weeks ago.

first of all – everything you will read in the following lines has grown completly on my (Riemu) own rubbish. All information you can read above is
taken from direct queries with Tosspot (the head of Crossfire) or from the site http://www.crossfire.nu.

To this day there hasn´t been any official announcement yet regarding the LAN, because Tosspot is still a bit busy.
However, i have some quotes for you to back my stuff up:

Now, what i want to achieve with this is the following:

– Get more then 16 teams to sign up for CDC5 (i believe 40 is very well possibly, and therefore maybe we can even up the prizepot to 6000 €)
– Give teams the possibility to plan abit ahead
– Spread the word about the TF2 event in the Team Fortress 2 community

Team Fortress 2 is about to lift off – be there when it happens!

Here is the summary:

– Big Lan Event with alot of action / games
– Head down to the CDC 4 News to get some impressions of the event / prize / hotels etc.

– Approx. 40 € / player entrance fee for the tournament (not fix yet)
– Team Fortress 2!!!
– 3.000 € prizemoney guaranteed for 16 teams
– Prizemoney will get raised if more then 16 teams show up (24/32)
– Prizemoney will be split with No. 1 / 2 / 3
– Expect No. 1 sth around 1500 €, No. 2 1000 € and No. 3 500 € (guessed by me)
– Event will take place 5/6/7 September 2008 in Enschede (Holland/Netherlands)
– Direct trainline from Berlin (Germany) to Enschede (Netherlands)
– Event will be NO-BYOC, you dont need to bring your PC – 250 PC´s are set up
– TF2 Tournament Coverage with Deman / Tosspot / Redeye (probably)
– Hotels and cheap accomodation on the site / near the site
– Pretournament Bootcamp before the tournament to warm you up
– Mini tournament for teams kicked out of the even early
– Bars, Sponsor booths, 3 Spectator stages to watch matches while you dont play
– And its Netherlands: WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!1111

alright folks, pretty bad news

easybash is not going to happen at these dates. in fact, its probably not going to happen in september.

there is no new date aimed for yet, because the event experiences a major delay due to major changes.

so, you dont need to take days off work anymore ;)

tosspot fucked up!!!! :P

Just been talking to TosspoT. CDC5 will no longer host a TF2 tournament :(
