With our last LAN event being an incredible success, we are proud to announce the upcoming InfoShow LAN coming back to you from Telekomunikacijų ir elektronikos fakultetas, KTU – Kaunas. The LAN will be spanning over a 3 day period beginning on the Friday afternoon of the 4th of April, and ending Sunday evening on the 6th of April. More specifically the TF2 event will be occurring on the 5th and the 6th.
Infoshow LAN Party is the annual biggest Lithuanian video games event running for over 12 years. Since the beginning, our festival has drawn players not only from Lithuania, but from Russia, Latvia and Poland. Ever since then the Infoshow LAN Party grew from a little students video game party to one of the biggest e-sport events in Lithuania for both casual and pro players. Our last Infoshow LAN Party 2013 held over 400 video game enthusiasts, playing both in competitive scene and playing various games over the local network.
Over the years, the LAN event has sported a ton of different games and hosted some of the greatest gamers in Lithuania. Primarily, the largest player audience originated from Counter-Strike tournaments, beginning with CS: 1.6 and still continuing into CS: Global Offensive. Last year, 20 teams participated in the Counter-Strike tournament.
Last year we introduced a fresh game into the event – Dota 2. 8 teams participated in the Dota 2 tournament. Since then, the game has come into full release and we expect many more teams to participate.
Our latest newcomer to the event is Team Fortress 2 and whilst it is the first TF2 tournament we have organised, we expect it will be a blast for everyone taking part and we expect to see it become a regular game played at our LAN Event. A maximum of 16 teams will be able to enter, with entry fees at 15 LTL (5 EUR~) and 24 PC’s for TF2 players. The tournament will be played in a double elimination format (every matchup with be a Best of 3 maps) and will run the ETF2L Season 17 rules and config. Prizes will be announced as soon as they are confirmed with our sponsors.
If you are interested in attending the event, whether it be for playing or for spectating, head on over to the contacts tab and contact huhy.
