I personally prefer warmfront to warmerfront purely because of the cliffs at mid, there seems to be way to much room to sit up there.
Also there is a long ass sniper line from the tunnel on second to mid. I got caught by it yesterday, its insane. It pretty much means that nobody is going to push the right side if the sniper is up. I dont think thats there on warmfront? Not sure though.
That’s just my opinion though.
For Coalplant, i actually enjoyed it and liked the map. Surprised me.
It’s worse on the original warmfront. You can see from the tunnel to the cliff.

Yeah and if you consider its just a small gap on the new one, it’s an entire path on the other one :p
If you want to keep things fresh, then I’d recommend that you make a pool of ‘standard’ maps, and then a second one of ‘new/untested/etc’ maps and pick one map from each for the different map modes. Rotate each season. This way you get a balance, since usually the standard maps (for 5cp at any rate) are standard because they’re a lot better than the alternatives.
If warmerfront doesn’t make any structural changes to the last point (rather than redecorating the tiles) then it shouldn’t be played. Foundry is very big, the forward spawn is absolutely miles from the last point which makes it frustrating to play. As Hildreth has already pointed out, Foundry and Warmfront have already had a few plays and never caught on; try the newest(/final?) release of croissant and/or follower and give them a chance.
Idc about other maps, but Gravelpit is what god told me about ~_~

Looking at the current map list, there are too many flaws here imo.
One being Coalplant, its a good map but it is already being played on UGC and ETF2L, I don’t think there is a reason to test Coalplant. I would much prefer Viaduct. Arctic seems like a good enough custom map (or Warmtic)
I don’t like cp_foundry, I would much much prefer a new 5cp custom map(that is not croissant) or process (as Gullywash is overplayed and overrated)

It is a map made for 6s I know. But this REALLY looks suitable for HL especially the mid. If the map maker tried to make it a bit more HL friendly, this map would be perfect, would seem like a pretty fast paced map for HL.

Looking at the pl maps, we always have the same payload maps. I can understand badwater since its a HL favourite, but why upward? Why not Borneo or any other custom PL map? Even Angkor would be fine but we really need to have different pl maps.
Would switch Upward with Borneo.
So, I would do the map list like this or something similiar to this:
cp_derecho (Derecho or Warmerfront can we replaced with either Gully or Process)
cp_warmerfront (Maybe Gully or Process?)
cp_steel (please keep steel)
pl_borneo
pl_badwater (I hate Badwater but oh well)
koth_viaduct
koth_arctic (or warmtic)
I would prefer this… though there are too many new maps in here. Would be very risky.

I will consider changing foundry but not sure about gully/process. The thing about HL is that its different, if you just end up playing the same maps season on season it will become stale like 6s has.
Process is also a very viable option. Maybe try that one? The feedback was fairly good afaik.

Coalplant isn’t being played currently in ETF2L, sadly.
