The last couple of days/weeks I’ve been working on a tool (it’s just a website) to be able to generate your own whitelists; you can find it here: http://whitelist.tf.
With this you see the possible weapons to pick/ban, every reskin will automatically be allowed if the normal version of the weapon is.
Features:
– Automatic updating with every TF2 update (always the newest hats/miscs)
– Share whitelists after generating
Known issues:
– Crossbrowser layout compatibility
– No redirect after generating (Whitelist ID is in the file and filename)
– The tool isn’t finished yet!
Planned features
– More templates from competitive configs/leagues
– Tweaking the generation process
Please try it, and post what is broken or what you’d like to see in this tool or just that you’re happy there finally is such a tool.

Good job!
This is really good! Now I don’t have an excuse to be lazy.
Awesome work, I think this is the way to custom whitelist matches? pick ban mixes anyone? ^^
very good :O

Any particular reason why you’re using fieldsets and legends with this? It causes the border-radius to misbehave in IE and probably other browsers as well. You could easily get away with divs to get exactly the same look.
Looks very promising. If it had the option to export/import presets, we could probably use it to maintain ETF2L whitelists as well.

It does have those options… more are being added atm.
Wow, this looks beyond amazing! Great work! Is it updated with every weapon in game currently?

Currently and ever (unless Valve adds a new kind of item).
As far as I know, noise making items etc. will be identified automatically.

Definitely will be using this for next comp.tf cups. Amazing work, waiting on the planned features
Currently doing some reworking of the whole thing and getting a dedicated domain name.
A little teaser: http://wiethoofd.info/meuk/whitelist_layout_presets.jpg
At launch it probably will only have the presets (a few more than in the screenshot) and possibly the ability to generate without sharing. Some more code needs to be written to handle presets and generated whitelists. :P The test version worked, but was very sloppy.
Planned features/ideas:
– Downloading of a whitelist .txt and a .cfg to set everything up on a server
– Support for medieval (?) (or at least a medieval preset)
– Ready Steady Pan preset (requires reskins to be deselected)
