Yea really, what changed? Like a page back a digi player said their payment was imminent.
Asuming that TCL #2 will be bigger or even hope of that is pretty far fetched. A community event like this is meant to be an effort by the community to proove to other lans, sponsors, orgs etc.. that we can create, run and attend a sucessful event.
So far the attendence bit is lacking and that’s what sponsors want the most.
The only way a TCL lan #2 is ever going to happen now is we make it a complete laugh, lots of media coverage, fun events and a competitive tournement. The community has let itself down and there is no one else to blame for it.
CS teams are dedicated to their cause. They had to start out somewhere which often meant paying their own way to LANs. The lan support came afterwards as a reward for showing they can provide decent coverage for their sponsors at major events. The TF2 community seems to think this happens the other way around. We seem to think people should pay us first, then we attend and then it gets bigger. This is not the case.
I don’t care if the top 1 or 2 teams or whatever aren’t attending the event. It should still be wicked reguardless, but they have let down the community by not attending it, especially with the notice they were given of the event.
I personally think it would have been in their interest to attend since 1) they have the best chance of actually covering part of their expenses, 2) they are the ones who would benefit the most from future events, being the best and all. It’s shooting yourself in the foot not attending an event that could potentially create a bigger, stronger pro scene for the game you play in.
Their choice anyway ;)

The high div clans are probably afraid of the allmighty div 4 mix of FADER Reunion that will win every game with a combination of high intoxication and lack of focus.

WE ARE GOING TO PLAY THIS GAME!
Pyramid
Supplies: Supplies: beer, people, and a deck of cards or more.
Begin by creating a pyramid of cards by placing them face down on the table in rows. – See diagram. The bottom row should have one card and the top row can go as high as you want (5 is a good minimum). If you want a larger pyramid, make sure you have enough cards.
Next, deal out four cards to each player, face down. Players can look at their cards and should not let other players see them.
Now the fun begins. Remember, the object of the game is to make other players drink based on what cards they think you have. Turn over the bottom card. If a player wishes he/she may tell another player to drink one, regardless of whether or not they have that card in their hand. The player chosen to drink may either drink or ask to see the other person’s corresponding card. If the player has the card, the other player must drink double. If he doesn’t have the card, then HE must drink double.
Turn over the next card in the row. If you’re at the end of the row, go up to the next row. The number of drinks corresponds to the row you’re in. If you’re in the third row, you’re playing with three drinks.
Players should take note of the cards other players were forced to show. A good memory and good bullshitting skills should come in handy.
