So I got bored this evening and decided to re-code the old #tf.mercs bot. In the end I completely refactored the code base.
For those that don’t know, #tf.mercs was a channel where you could both advertise and search for a merc. I wrote a bot to handle the usual operations, but soon after I stopped playing TF2, the bot died and I didn’t have the time to sort it out properly.
Now the channel is back though, as #tf2.mercs, and also a highlander channel, #tf2.mercs.9v9, both on QuakeNet.
Hopefully people will get as much use out of this bot as they did with the old #tf.mercs bot back in the day (or at least, it seems they did, since Nislem was constantly bugging me to fix it ;-) ).
Everything you need to know is in the readme (linked below). Let me know if you have any ideas for improvement, or find any bugs. :-)
6v6 channel: #tf2.mercs on QuakeNet
9v9 channel: #tf2.mercs.9v9 on QuakeNet

Thanks Chris.
Bots will be temporarily down today as I’m doing maintenance on the server they are running on.
This should be on the main page of etf2l! Everyone should know of this, EVERYONE!!
