Doesn’t matter how many good games you play. Have one average map with byte breathing down your neck and you’re div 3 forever.

IMO you should have a CS1.6 style for this:

Have an open channel as well as the invite channel.
Players that get notoriously good in the open should get a try at the invite.

Once every 1-2 months you host a trial ODC where you mix everyone that signed up and pick w/e players you see fit to move on to the next round. So out of 36-48, only 6-12 move on to the next round. Then you mix them with Invite players, and whoever is deemed fit gets a try at invite.

Need to have a way of giving unknown players a shot. Seeing as it is a team game, somebody that is at mpuktf2 level might get stuck at div 3-6 forever.

Everybody thinks that they are that guy who has never played in div 2 or above but is at that level of play. This way you let them all have a shot, and not having to deal with “yo dude can u give just me a try at mpuktf2 im really gud but nobody acknowledges it / i have been stuck with div 3 scrubs for ages :( “.

P.S.
Since the Israeli pickups / Israeli TF2 community is un-officially dead, I have no pickups to play at. Can I have a try @ mpuktf2 please?
