Hi all!
Looking for a place to get free quality servers with pre-installed match configs and plugins? Look no more!
Book4Free.no is a free, non-profit gameserver hosting service – offered to gamers, by gamers!
We host free gameservers for:
– Counter-Strike 1.6
– Counter-Strike: Source
– CS:GO
– Team Fortress 2 (ETF2L ang UGC match-configs)
Our gameservers are hosted on Primergy servers @ DataDock (GER) and Oslo (NOR)
To ensure best latency, select the host closest to you when you book your free server!
Our CS 1.6 servers are running 1000fps. CS:S are running on default 66 tickrate, as this is the recommended value by Valve.
Our CS:GO servers are running 128 tickrate to meet the ESL-standards.
CS:S and TF2 players can use Source-TV for viewing and recording and may download demos directly from our site after the match.
Our game servers are equipped with match plugins and easy-to-use match configs.
Plugins can be toggled on or off when you config your server in our booking-system.
No lenghty registration or approval required, it takes less than a minute to book a free game server for your game.
Remember to select the location of your choice to get optimal latency.

Unsure about the latency or genuinity of this?
We have set up two demo servers for you guys to try.
They will be online for 3 hours (shutdown approx 8.30PM +2GMT)
Norway: cs2.book4free.no:31100
Germany: cs3.book4free.no:31150
The RCON for both servers are: play
Knock yourself out, but be nice to each other :)
How are you making money? Im guessing you are sponsered by bacloud for the servers, but is it really worth it for them, and I can imagine them also paying the person hosting the website.
speaking as a GSP i would not consider them high end servers by any stretch.
Who said we are making money? :-) Because we aren’t. We have been around since 2010, but Team Fortress 2 free servers have only been available since yesterday. The goal is to keep the site running w/o the need of financial help from the owners every month, and that requires traffic and donations. Look at it as a hobby or a project, I have no better explanation than that. :-)

There was some outdated info regarding the server specs in the first post. Corrected.
Speaking as a GSP that provides stuff for free, I would say that opteron 3280’s located @ DataDock is pretty decent. It’s all about how many slots pr.core you squeeze into this… We do this because it’s fun and that we can provide something to the scene. All feedback is appreciated, so thank you.
