Hello I noticed if you donate you get a whole hour without anyone on the server before it shuts down, and I feel this is a bad idea. I donated and I want to turn this time down as I am very forgetful and a few times I’ve taken a server and forgotten to end my reservation, so a custom time limit on reservations would be useful for me and maybe help prevent the servers being taken up so much. A message at the end of a game, similar to the logs.tf popup, saying “Please don’t forget to end your reservation if you’re finished” could be good. Having an option for a Server to automatically shut down and finish a reservation on game end, or a short time after, would do great. I imagine this is very simple to do as I am not a programmer.

That feature is mostly there because some tf2lobby donators had trouble filling the lobby within 30 minutes. However they’re only interested in the ‘max idle time’ at the start of a reservation, so I could keep “idle time after there’s been a match” to a lower value probably.

I’ve not read the entire thread but is there a reason TFTrue’s FOV limit is at 90, or is it possible to change it through rcon?

It’s the default TFTrue setting, rcon tftrue_maxfov to allow higher FOVs

SoapDM requires metamod/sourcemod, which has a tendency to break on large updates. So that would require me to do some manual updates on a TF2 update and get that synced to the 24 servers. Meh… You’re not the first to request is, so there’s definitely demand for it, might make it a donator-only feature, but not soon.

The FB server will be down today to swap a broken HDD.

The difference in reservation rate is mostly due to the ordering of the servers. Mine are on the first position, which means that when users don’t pick a server themselves, they’re using mine by default.

Just want to know what’s the potential of item donations

I had one person donate a few keys, but he already was a donator. I also received a mvm ticket and a bunch of items/hats.
The item donations are really just used as a way to say thanks without getting donator status in return.

– Maidos moved his servers to more powerful hardware
