Just to let our regular people know that we are moving data centres as i type this. All of nervousENERGY including our website will be down for about 14 – 16 hours from the time of this post.
Sorry :)
Humbug
Forgot to say that our IP’s will remain the same at least for now…. we may also of been presented with an option to increase capacity massively by way of having our own 42u rack in the not to distant future…meaning we could do our own colocation :)
we’ll see how it goes :)
Just thought i’d post and say that we’ve moved now and are now able to offer colocation services should people want.
The details can be found on our website here http://www.nervousenergy.co.uk/information/colocation-a-rental-info
FTR, your cookie policy will soon become illegal under UK law if it performs any tracking (it is opt-out rather than opt-in).

thanks octochris :)
perhaps we interpreted the directives differently. we got the guidance from here
http://www.ico.gov.uk/for_organisations/privacy_and_electronic_communications/the_guide/~/media/documents/library/Privacy_and_electronic/Practical_application/cookies_guidance_v3.ashx
On page 6 is says about prior consent. I think we clearly fall into the ‘able to demonstrate’ bit as we give a clear option to opt out from there on in [edit] – on our privacy policy page [/edit]
and on page 7 ‘Implied Consent’ (3rd paragraph) we are clear there as our option to ‘Hide and Accept this notice’ falls in line with the directive.
Thanks for your feedback though it’s always good to go over these things to make sure

specifically from here:
“Implied consent is a valid form of consent and can be used in the context of compliance with the revised rules on cookies.”
(it goes on to say you can’t just rely on having a privacy page somewhere, hence the notification at the bottom of the screen)
yay nervousENERGY!
