La compétiTF blog and -|F|- Angel by himself are proudly present their Ultiduo Cup. For this tournament, 64 teams get the chance to win $100.

Ultiduo puts a Soldier & Medic combo against each other in a 5-minute king-of-the-hill map which requires very fine team-work and strategy. The concept is meant to celebrate a very integral aspect of Team Fortress which is the Medic and Soldier, this is the core of the competitive scene and also is a staple combination in pub play.

Rules in a Nutshell

– game mode: 2×2
– class limits: 1 – Medic, 1 – Soldier
– allowed weapons for Medic: Medigun (Kritzkrieg is NOT allowed), Syringe Gun, Blutsauger, Bonesaw, Ubersaw
– allowed weapons for Soldier: Rocket Launcher, Shotgun, Shovel, Equalizer, Frying Pan
– used map: koth_ultiduo http://onions.ozfortress.com/koth_ultiduo.rar
– match mode: best-of-three (BO3)
– used config: standard ETF2L config http://deneusbeer.nl/tf2/etf2l.cfg + mp_timelimit 0 & mp_winlimit 2

Note: teams may swap classes (Medic – Soldier) during the round, limiting himself only to the class limits.

That’s right, Vita-Saw for Medic is not allowed. To prevent future questions: Pain Train for Soldier is not allowed too.

Now we have so many weapons, so I think it is easier to write in rules, which weapons is allowed.

What about direct hit? Can’t see anything about it in there
