Hey, I'm Matt, I'm 17 and from Croatia. I'm looking to join a higher division 4 team in the upcoming season 16 as scout.
I've been on the competitive scene for a while now and so far exchanged 3 teams, div 6 – 3.
I was playing in a division 6 team after leaving my old div3 team. The team had a scout leave so I joined in so the team wouldn't drop the season.
What you can expect from me:
– looking to improve all the time
– pretty good DM and gamesense
– up to date with the high division metagame
– ready to play any day Sunday – Thursday (Fri/Sat excluded) from about 18:30 CET
– fluent in English although I have a slightly weird accent
What I expect from a team:
– their own server (mumble and tf2)
– set maincaller
– willing to improve and do good in the following season
– friendly and relaxed

Marvin’s the funnest guy I met playing tf2.
Other then that, he’s an amazing scout both dm and gamesense wise.
The tf2 dream for me is to be in a team with him eventually, but in the meantime, if you’re a div 4/3 looking for a keen scout – you should pick him up.

As member of the current team Marvin plays for I can only agree with what Verse said. Marvin is an excellent scout (gamesense and DM), makes others play better and is always in for a ‘giggle’ (see what i did there Marv?^^). If he can play with other players on his level, you’ve got yourself an awesome team ready to win lots of matches.
Best of luck next season, and for now: thanks for making POTP and myself play better.
This guy is a really good scout, but he would improve even more in a stable team!

Not sure about 3/4. Obviously wasn’t main roster for guru gaming and when I played with him overextends like a boss. Maybe good aim but needs to learn a lot IMO. =\
I was main roster for a month in guru. I overextended because I was in a bad mood and I was tired of taking crap from my team, so I +forwarded out of frustration. You only played twice with me anyway.
I don’t know why you have such a problem with me, even when you played with us you got upset with me every time for no apparent reason other than “overextending” after we were playing for over an hour and the game was getting really stalematey. Furthermore it didn’t even have a negative impact for our gameplay, it actually created more chances than not.

Really good player, except from the fact his wrangler jumps are terrible. Has both amazing dm and gamesense, and he will be a huge addition to any team that picks him up.

You seem mad? I think its fair that I give my opinion so other teams know not to waste time. Why aren’t all of the guru team posting in here vouching for your skill? Currently just looks like your mates replying to this. Mostly dive6 players saying “wow beast dm easily div4”
If you disagree then no need to be annoyed, it doesn’t matter what I think if you disagree, just prove me wrong.
Personally from the games I played with you though there’s literally no way you are the skill level you advertise else you would have corrected your teams bad calls. People are welcome to the STV demo of the games you played on our server if they like. They can make up their minds for themselves.

I’m not mad, I’m just wondering if this is all you do, go on other people’s rec posts and try to discredit them? How do you form an opinion with playing once, maybe twice with me, in a division 5 scrim? I didn’t correct bad calls because I didn’t have the nerve for it, nor did I join this team to main call as a scout.
Tell me how to prove you wrong and I will, add me, let’s play some division 4 or 3 mixes, and then reform your opinion.
You really think you’re all that because you’re winning division 5, really. And guru members are not commenting? I don’t know, I see at least 2. I know that I may not be division 3 material, but I definitely am mid/high division 4.

I’ve played with marvin quite alot the past week and he is really good, you cant take all the games too serious! There are probably many things wrong with how you play since you are not in a higher div…

Even if Marvin wasn’t ready to take with us in div3 as a scout I can say for surely he has bright ideas and with his sense you can definitely get a good scout for d4. Pick him asap.

No lol. I just think that where comments are due they should be made. I will happily also recommend good players if they show that they are good. I think it’s quite easy to tell if someone is either div5/6 or 3/4 from playing a couple of games with them. As I said, people are welcome to request the demos.
From my experience if you’re a 3/4 player, scout or not and your team is playing low division 6 you wouldn’t just sit there silently whilst the team made completely gash plays. I think you’d tell them.
I don’t need to reform my opinion, I’ve nothing to prove, it is you who is looking for the team. I am just posting my 2 cents since I think teams reading your post would like to know.
Now you are getting mad because you’re suggesting I’m “all that”. I haven’t commented on my skill level. I think I have a pretty good grasp of my own skill level but I am not being judged here so it’s quite irrelevant. I’m just saying you’re pitching too high in my opinion. There’s nothing wrong with someone saying that. I’m free to express my opinion.

I just don’t think you’re in the position to discredit my skill since you’re only in division 5.
I was playing with that team for longer than you think, and I did tell them a lot of stuff to do. If you were mercing as a main caller why would I have to correct my team’s bad calls? I didn’t join in this team to win anything, nor did I have any expectations and therefore did not have the need to correct their calls every single time. I joined because one of their scouts left the team and didn’t want them to fold the season.
And I don’t understand how you figured that I was mad, but I guess that’s the only real argument you have. Am I mad because I’m patiently responding to every of your nonsensical comments? Okay, that would make sense.
I cannot comment on your skill when raping div5 and you have no actual official experience other than getting raped in div5? However people who have no experience are free to claim that you are div3? Makes sense.
The fact you have to defend yourself like this shows the mad IMO. If you don’t think what I say has any worth then why bother? Clearly you’re annoyed that someone disagrees with your skill. Surely a division 3/4 player wouldn’t care what a lowly div5 player said right?

You can keep on going but I finally realized all you’re doing is showing the complexes that you have, that after 1500 days in etf2l you’ve only managed to get into division 5.

We’re all here to play and have fun, and it does feel cool when you go on higher divs – but you should keep it as it is – a video juego.
