In my experience trialing with this team, I found a pretty decent demo with nice calls and a medic who seems to have a plan for himself.
I also found a german named mawer555 who clearly thinks he’s better than everyone else and feels free to give everyone shit for what they do wrong, even when he gets his ass carried by a 400 dpm pocket who is psuedo-maincalling his trash and helping the flank make plays.
Don’t even come near this if you don’t want to get instant aids.

Mawer will get a lot of shit because he’s a good leader. From my exp trialing, mawer knows how to run a team. He gives feedback to all trialees, I’ll wager half the people complaining were told they didn’t perform and it hurt their egos

Yeah so I just trialed for this team. I can confirm that the demo is definitely decent although her calls weren’t very good but she must have been having an off day because everyone was saying she’s normally better.
I didn’t really like the pocket I was trialing with and one of the scouts apparently had his mouse break midway through a game and then left which struck me as a little odd.
But anyway I don’t think I would get on very well with Mawer555 because he doesn’t strike me as someone who is very easy to get on with. Partly because of my experience of him and partly because of the posts here.
As he was telling me after the trial that he thought the trials (including me) all played very well, the demo interjected and reminded him that he’d said that to 2 previous medic trials before removing them after the next trial. This was told as a joke but mawer555 then elaborated on how “retarded” these people were and thus confirming to me that this actually happened. This also struck me as pretty odd.
Anyway I had a quick glance at the team’s ETF2L profiles because that’s something I do with all the teams I trial for and I found out the demo doesn’t have an ETF2L account. I was curious as to why this was so I asked Mawer555 and he told me something about her being banned for account sharing with her bro and that the ban would expire in August. I was totally fine with this explanation but I wanted to make sure the date was right because I don’t wanna find out at the beginning of the season that our demo (also our best player) couldn’t play. Then I find out she’s banned from the ETF2L forums and the explanation for this was basically she told Sonny Black “…how shit he is.” This soon followed by Mawer555 refering to Sonny Black by a rather immature name.
Now I don’t mind shit talking, I also have no affiliation or opinion of Sonny Black as a person. In fact I’ve never met the guy. However this sort of behavior coupled with some rather dodgy sounding past behavior in trials and the fact that he said the pocket played badly to me but never said that to the pocket was troubling to me.

But anyway, I thought I’d share my thoughts because when I asked Mawer555 about the comments in this thread he wrote them off as retarded and/or mad players who he rejected. But having had at least an inkling of the the same sort of behaviour described here by others I thought I would take this opportunity to give my honest opinion of Mawer and the other team members before I too make a mistake and become yesterday’s news in the eyes of Mawer so he can’t hide behind this excuse.
So I’m not going to say whether to trial or not for this team. I’m just going to let you read the facts and decide for yourself whether you are ok with this kind of activity. I personally, am not.
P.S. Full disclosure: I actually feel I wasn’t playing even close to my best because I’m ill and I mentioned this to Mawer555 after the trial but he still insisted that I played well so if he comes back now saying I was bad then you’ll know he’s lied at least once.

Well I had no idea who mawer even was so just because you think he’s shit it doesn’t mean it’s community wide knowledge. Besides if someone wants to know about the team then my post covers most of the basis, up to them if they wanna read it or not.
