Yeah but the way you asked for nomination was wrong and full of troll nomination.
I know nominations have always been done with prem player input rather than administrative but there is no justice here. Any competitive scene worth its salt will reward players based on their merit and not by enabling nepotism and popularity contests.
To be fair though, you could easily build an All-star team from the nominations.
Yeah, looking at a couple of teams voting for just their own players was comical. Milchman and Scriptzon should be in this vote

If you wanted all players to be nominated, all teams should’ve followed S-O and WASP, should’ve just nominated your own teammates and everyone would be happy. So for players like Ygg, Quik, Piddox, Scriptzon etc. not being there, is purely their own teams fault.
the autism in that statement is pretty immense. Maybe all teams should have voted in a fair way, I noticed that several people in the poles above didn’t get a single nomination outside of their team

Besides this is just a popularity contest, be as good as you want, but you ain’t getting shit if you’re not popular, if you didn’t get any flashy moments/carried during the official or if you didn’t merc for every single team in prem OR if you’re not good friends with every single prem hl player, then no way you’re getting nominated by anyone else apart from your teammates. Basically me.

If someone didn’t get to polls, clearly majority of prem players who nominated don’t think they deserve so. I don’t see why are people complaining honestly. There is no other better way to nominate players.

@doom but theres no problem being on the poll if you’re “not good enough”, if they’re not good enough then they won’t get the award lol. stop glorifying being “nominated” and focus on voting for the best players so you see them get rewarded for their effort.

I honestly can’t understand what you mean by this post. I’m saying if you give community a poll, and the community picks apparently wrong people, then there is a problem with the community not the system. And also with how people can’t understand others don’t think the same, and someone best in your eyes might not be the same for other people. You could argue that there shouldn’t be nomination at all in first place, and people could vote for anyone, but then there are people who just vote for a name because they heard it somewhere (see Admirable last season who played like two games). Nominations help eliminate that at least to some extent. It’s still a popularity contest, but it could be worse.
admirable played 4 matches which was the cutoff, and the nominations he got from his own teammates were ignored. He still had enough to be considered for the poll

It would be nice if you couldn’t vote for players on your own team though, just to stop circlejerking as much as possible. If you really deserve to be X of the season you’ll get nominated anyway.
