21 CET  – European Highpander© vs. European Tourettes Chessclub

This is the one you do not want to miss! Week 5 has come around and bestowed us with a glorious matchup of two great titans of Premiership Highlander. Join UnitedKingdom Bulow, England Maxi & England Jon on BlackOut TV for European Highpander© vs. European Tourettes Chessclub for their official match on pl_badwater. Despite such a great game, any points gained by either team tonight will not affect the current standings of the division as Tourettes Chessclub have amassed quite a remarkable entry lead in Season 9 striding way out in front of the rest with 24 big ones on the board with Highpander© as the runner up with only 17 points so far.

We caught up with England Hildreth & Denmark Scissors to hear their views about tonight’s match:

Hildreth

So how do you feel Highpander© is doing so far in Season 9?

Well alright, we’re in good playoff contention position, dropping points to Poland Feila eSports finanzieren durch and Russia WASP has made coming 1st very difficult, so really focus is about getting into Playoffs and dealing with each game as it comes. We’ve changed a lot of the roster, lot of things we need to adjust to, other teams are getting better as well. I do believe in my team, we just need to learn to play with more confidence under pressure, todays game is a great test for us.

And what are your & Highpander©‘s thoughts about tonight’s game?

We’re up for this one definitely, it hasn’t been the easiest ride so far but the team is pretty confident in our own ability to just DM it you know? When we get hype, get Finland Astt and Belarus tracker on their game Tourettes Chessclub will find us hard to deal with. What we have to remember is Tourettes Chessclub are always solid and consistent, I think we have more edge to our team when we’re playing well. See Tourettes Chessclub have never been a team you sit there and fear playing, I always feel like we can beat them. To me they’re kind of fortunate to come through a time where so many teams are unstable and their plan of constantly shifting players has worked, it rarely works for most other teams, it goes to show it isn’t the most highly skilled time when a team like Tourettes Chessclub are favourites to equal SouthKorea SNSD‘s record. Really it’s our fault for not beating them, something we intend to put right, starting tonight.

Scissors

So how do you feel Tourettes Chessclub is doing so far in Season 9?

We are undefeated in officials, so can’t complain.

And what are your & Tourettes Chessclub‘s thoughts about tonight’s game?

We wanted it a bit later, so it was annoying that we got the default date on Wednesday. Some people had to cancel plans, so even though a few will miss warmups etc, we should have everyone for the game itself. Scrims have been going well, and I heard that they didn’t get much practise due to the date of their last official, so I feel like the odds are in our favour. They have some players we need to watch out for in particular, but overall I feel like we have them beat on most fronts and are the better team at the moment. Not gonna underestimate them though.

A victory in favour of Highpander© would stop Strong Opinions breathing down their neck and gritting their perky teeth, bringing them within reaching distance of the Club however if the gods swing for the opposing side we could witness Tourettes Chessclub being launched into the stratosphere with a tidy 30 points to sit upon. Who will win? Tune in at 21 CET to find out!
