The Highlander Open: The Wrapup

The end has come on one of the largest TF2 events of our time. We’ve have the good times and the bad. 256 teams – one record number for Highlander in recent times. I just want to take this time to thank all that participated in this massive competition despite the problems faced, you are the people that made this cup special. If you have any constructive feedback on how we can improve for a possible HLO 2 in the future, feel free to talk about it in the comments or in IRC.

A massive thank you the TF2Pickup.net for providing the prizes to the top 3 teams, PurePings for providing the extensive amount of match servers to keep the cup running, USA nognade for creating the amazing trailer, UnitedStates Queenie for organising the logo creation, Russia nabique & Russia Brd for constructing our beautiful medals and to ETF2L for hosting the cup on their site.

    Even if my former team got knocked out at Week 3 I had great fun. I look forward to seeing any familiar faces from the HLO in Season 7 – I know I’ll be returning, that’s for sure!
