Staff Changes, Bans, AC Applications open again and Logjam_b10

Staff Changes

After his great professional contribution to the AC team for over 1 year and stepping his way up to Head AC Admin, we are wishing Norway Lazybear goodbye.  Lazybear was an influential member of the AC team and will be sorely missed. He brought many new ideas to the table along with a professional attitude to all his work. We wish him well in all his future endeavours.

England kindred has proven to be eager and hard working and has been promoted to full AC. Congratulations!

Germany ducky has also made use of the month he was with us so far and has therefore been promoted to full 6v6 admin. Congratulations!

Bans

Some players have been spotted with recent VAC bans affecting Team Fortress 2 and thus are now banned from ETF2L for 1 year:

As these players have not been caught cheating by our staff, their match results are not affected.

The following players have been caught cheating by our Anti-Cheat team.  They will be banned from ETF2L for 1 year:

The following player has not provided a requested demo for the third time in a row. He will be banned from ETF2L for 2 months.

The following player has played in the same competition with two accounts. He will be banned for 1 year.

Anti-Cheat Staff Applications

With Norway Lazybear stepping down, we are once again looking to trial one more person to join the AC staff. Users that have already attempted applying for AC staff can also re-apply.

AC members need to have a good sense of trust and morality, additionally be excited by detective work & technical aspects of the source engine that come with demo viewing and cheats and such. It’s also important to have no bias and be respectful of the democratic process on voting.

Please don’t be intimidated to apply, it’s a position that you can really only improve on with real experience.

Check these guidelines for a more in-depth description of the application process. If you don’t fill out the application properly, we will likely deny your application. Promising candidates with an extensive application will be interviewed and welcomed to staff.

Logjam_b10

Hyce has released a new version of Logjam after a lot of feedback from the hugely popular Logjam Cup. This version will be used in the map pool for Season 19 and can be downloaded here.

    Fire is saying that if someone is caught by watching a demo then they should not get an instant VAC ban for it which I agree with, of course if someone is caught by VAC then they must get a league ban too. I’d like to see ETF2L permaban people caught twice or more, what do you think?
