The Highlander Open: Tiebreakers and beyond…
August 6, 2014
The Highlander Open Cup Tiebreakers
*ADDED SOME MORE TIEBREAKERS THAT WERE MISSING, PLEASE CHECK AGAIN!*
The week of the tiebreakers is upon us. First off we wish to apologise for the short notice of these matches being announced but our validation period took a little longer than expected.
There’s only 4 tiebreakers to be played, so check whether you’re due to play one by heading here. Information about how these are played are listed on the match pages, read it carefully. These need to be scheduled by Friday 8th 23:59 CEST and results to be promptly submitted by the end of Sunday 10th so the playoffs can begin smoothly.
For you teams that don’t have a tiebreaker match and are in the Top 2 of your group, sit back for a week as you’re now in the playoff stage! Congrats! For those teams without a tiebreaker and in the Bottom 2 of a group, we say thanks and farewell to you for participating in the cup. We hope that you continue to play Highlander in regular seasons like the upcoming ETF2L Highlander Season 7.

What´cha gonna do with fail groups like 3 or 63?
group 56 :P
i guess with groups that only have 2 teams left in them both get a free pass to the knockout. Groups with 1 team left in them though (56), that’s interesting, because it’ll mess up the next round as there won’t be 128 teams. so maybe a team gets a random free pass to the knockout stage for every group 56?
We have made it so there is 128 teams in the next stage
@ Gemmellness
Each group with 2 or more remaining teams has 2 teams going through, even if 2 teams dropped the remaining 2 will progress.
To counter the group you mentioned with only 1 team, we will be putting all 3 teams from group 4 to solve a complicated three-way-tie and also ensure 128 teams will go through.
Group 29: no new, me wait for new match.
