Overview
BBall has a long history and it should be familiar to most of us. However since it has been a very long time since teams officially hit the court let me briefly remind you what this is all about. We have 2 Teams consisting of 2 Soldiers each facing each other on a Basketball court. The goal is, like in real basketball, to score points by getting the ball through the basketball hoop. Now as this is serious business, we don’t have, no, we don’t need a ball – we prefer to play with precious documents in a briefcase. Setup
For the moment being, we will allow 192 teams to sign up, which will be seeded into 32 groups of 6 teams each. The first 2 teams of each group will advance to the playoff tree. However, if we notice an even bigger interest in this tournament, we might add more slots!
Processing results
Group stage:
This phase should be pretty straight forward. Like in the regular season, you play your map and submit the result (no golden cap, draws are possible). A correctly entered result is 3-0, 0-3 or 1-1.
Playoff stage:
Now we come to the “tricky” part. Since we are now in the elimination phase each map / round needs a winner. This means, if both teams are tied when the map timer reaches zero you will have to play another “best of 5 caps” golden cap round to determine the winner for this map.
While entering the result please upload the tied & additional screenshot of that round.
General schedule
- Sign ups are open NOW until January 16, head over to the competition page to enter the cup with your 2on2 team!
There will be no enforced weekly schedule for your games in the group phase, just make sure you have played all matches and entered the respective results before the group phase deadline! However we have added Default dates for your convenience, if you can’t play that day post it on the match page and try rescheduling. During the group phase, unplayed matches will get a null result, while the almighty coin flip will decide for the playoff tree.

Either be constructive with your criticism or don’t comment at all. Also if you feel you could be doing a better job feel free to try to make a banner and ill judge how good it is!
I might be overly rude to huhy I admit, but this is just awful and there is no way you can tell me Deus, that it’s pretty, not after your great banner for S14.
I can be constructive, yes – the color combination is a disaster, tags on the left side look too cramped; ETF2L and Tt esports tag should be slightly minimized on the bottom, whilst at the same time BB Cup title could be on top. I like the stuff with the crowd in the background, but with this color combination it’s just an eye sore. Something more simplistic, like a basket ball and TF2 intelligence lying next to each other on the floor or ctf_ballin_sky might be a better solution then this.
Also, I never said I can make a better one, but I still have eyes and that thing ETF2L put as banner (plus the one for 6th cup) is just ridiculous. Getting tired of this “do it yourself or shut up” attitude that’s around TF2 lately. If I am playing in this league for some time, no matter what division, I think I have a right to write a single comment on someone’s lack of taste or w/e.
That “do it yourself or shut up” attitude is why we get what we get, and I’m thankful someone put the effort into these. People contribute so much and still go thankless because there will always be people who ride on the work of others yet whine about how its horrible for themselves. I guess if you’re tired of that kind of attitude, play in some other league where everything is done perfectly and to your taste, while you sit back and ban those who do it horribly out of your interest.

Nice making this into a big thing, an ungrateful brat having a crusade on ETF2L or something similar. I didn’t poop on the whole org. because I think they are doing a fantastic job, especially with season 14.
I commented on a ugly banner which I guess was a bad move because obviously I should be quiet and just play the game.
No, it’s perfectly fine to express criticsm and we’re generally thankful for feedback. It’s the attitude of your post that simply does not belong here. Huhy may have invested +2 hours of his spare time in creating this banner (idk). Who do you think you are when giving advice to ‘ban him making banners’ because ‘it’s the worst you’ve ever seen’? It’s this general attitude of entitlement I’m sick of. My 2 cents.
lolp, chill guys. It is always like this… There will be people who don’t like something and you can’t please everyone. Though like nTraum said, you don’t need to be that harsh reservoir_dog. Instead of saying that, feel free to contact me privately and let me know what is wrong for you and how I may improve my future stuff. Besides that, it took me few days to finish it off, mainly because it was hard to fit in everything very well (then I had to cut the basketball player in the background, so that I was able to fit in the soldier, then before that I had to pose the soldier so that he looks like he is dunking the intel etc). I of course appreciate everyones feedback, but saying: “please ban that person and etc”, isn’t very nice and it would be cool if people actually appreciated all the effort…

I think, huhy did a great job. Not every banner has to be serious, why not add some colours, fun and music?
