Highlander Season 3: SNSD vs Maxplay

Date November 22, 2012

Highlander Season 3

Highlander season 3 has played host to some magnificent games so far and tonight’s showdown looks to be no exception. NorthKoreaSouthKoreaSNSD, seasoned veterans and highlander prodigies, are set to face the dubious Poland Max-Play Highlander Team, current 2nd-place stalwarts and Dark Horses of the competition. Max-Play are aiming to bounce back from their hard-fought loss versus European May Contain Nuts and remember the momentum they experienced in the opening week of the season versus Finland Colony.

Max Play are relative newcomers, after obtaining their premiership position through a long and grueling summer and some powerful plays from their star sniper Phroblem. I had a chat with Poland Linka from Max-play about their odds tonight:

MPHT puts a huge emphasis on the tactical aspect of our play, carrying out our objectives while keeping a level head. We feel that teamplay is more important than the individual level of our players and hopefully you’ll be able to see that through today’s match. We come into this match with our backs straight and heads held high. No matter the result, we consider getting into  ETF2L’s Premier Division a huge success, and we’re grateful for the opportunity we’ve been presented with. Let the best team win!”

SNSD are conquerors. After winning everything possible, they’ve progressed into a downward spiral of complacency and disappointment, and although the hard-working Max-play stand a chance of obtaining a good result tonight, there is no questioning SNSD’s pedigree. Over to Hungary Linus for his take:

“We’re all excited to play Max-Play. They are clearly the underdogs of the highlander scene at the moment, and they’ve been impressive so far in the season. While I do think we have the upper hand due to our experience and individual player skill thanks to our resident hacker TviQ or possibly the best demo in EU, Kaidus, we go into this official with the same attitude as we go in every other: we try to not to get overconfident, and play like we always do. Hopefully that’ll be enough, but I can see the poles coming up with a nasty surprises. However, our current goal is to secure our position in the playoffs, so there’s not much to worry about just yet.”

This game will be happening tonight from 20:30 CET with a Russian-speaking cast from TFWorld.ru and streamed LIVE with mumble comms with Kaidus Don’t miss out!
