Posters!?
While cleaning out the ETF2L broom cupboard, we came across 3 sets of TF2 posters given to us by Valve, to use as extra special prizes for Season 8. Unfortunately that season is archived, so we’ll just have to give them away as extra special prizes for Season 9 instead!
One set of posters will be given to the winner of the Fairplay Award, and one to the winner of a Division 2 playoff. We haven’t yet decided on how to award the third set, perhaps a thumb-wrestling tournament at i43? Suggestions welcome in the comments.
Playoffs!?
We are now one week into the playoff phase of the season, and at the time of writing 0 of 11 matches have been played. One has been conceded, so let’s call it 0 of 10. This vexes me. It will likely take 4 weeks (since the end of the catch-up week) to properly finish Season 9, playing around 15 playoffs. That equates to adding 40% of time to the season to play an extra 1% of games. The playoffs are there to provide teams with a “winner takes all” game, to play for pride, promotion and in some cases prizes, plus they give us valuable information for seeding teams next season. It seems like this description becomes less accurate year upon year, so we will consider alternate ways of concluding next season.
Please make sure your playoff matches are played before the June 26th deadline.
Panels!?
Over the course of the next week we will be contacting selected users to take part in the nomination phase of the Season 9 Awards. Once they have made their decisions (which they will be free to announce publicly), we can commence the voting phase!

2k/Casual – Creating and supplying hacks to ETF2L players, using said hacks himself. – 1 year ban

In no part of the ruleset does it state that using cheats outside of ETF2L affects actions inside the ETF2L, as I see it the AC team is acting outside it’s jurisdiction here – even going as far as to call hypocrisy as people like Gubbs used cheats outside an official environment and received the proper punishment for it (VAC) yet they continue unbanned. Oh wait it’s another game so it’s cool.
Blorg has to date yet to be proven guilty of hacking during an official game – which he couldn’t have as he’s rather teamless most of the time.
Once again the AC team proves to not do a professional job, AC admins trolling a kid before any kind of serious suspicion arised is also not something I can support.
Blorg had it coming, he understands the consequences and I’m not defending his actions here, merely pointing out the sloppy mess that is the AC team once again.

Also, grimbar kinda has a point, but the line has to be drawn somewhere I guess. “Jurisdiction” is not really the proper term, as ETF2L can obviously ban whoever the fuck they want to ban; it’s just a website. But if this is behavior that we wanna see from a eSports league, that should be neutral, consistent, and fair, that’s a different question.
Before you read any further, I admit to having triggerbotted. I don’t know what went through my head at the time when I decided I wanted to, it was an incredibly foolish decision and one I genuinely regret aswell. I guess I was just bored and wanted to do something different. One thing I want to make clear is that I have NEVER used hacks as medic.
I used the triggerbot in mixes/lobbies/pickups for 1-2 months and never intended to use it in any of the leagues to play in the high divisions, it was always just a bit of fun that had to come to a stop at some point. I know I’m an idiot and shouldn’t of hacked but saying so now is pointless. Before I deleted the hacks from my computer, I made sure my subscription was cancelled (I didn’t pay for anything though and no, it wasn’t x22) so I can’t go back to the hacks in the future, even if I want to. I’ve definitely learned from my mistakes though.
On Friday night, I confessed to Gubbins & konr about hacking. They were already suspicious though – I jumped off the boat after it had hit the iceberg but at least I didn’t go down with it and continue pretending like I’m legit. I’m bored of that and want to come clean. Hacking comes with consequences which I’m fully prepared to accept. Also, the time frame inbetween the logs of the pastebin that van1lla posted is quite big. 28th April & 11th June. Just thought I’d point that out.
Also, alfa – I didn’t send clips of me hacking to people, a while after making that video I realised it would be best not to and didn’t in the end hence why you haven’t seen those clips in any videos.
Cu in 12 months, I don’t plan on making any more accounts.

If anyone is found cheating in tf2 he will receive a ban. Whether its in a league match, mix or public server. Having a (orange box) VAC ban on record is not enough for a ban as it could have happened in a css public. Similarly, a demo of speedhacking on a public is not enough either as it can also be achieved by several of the exploits that allowed speedhacking in the past. Its also, like for example a critshack, less of an actual threat to clangames, even less so then most of the stuff that can get you an orange box vac ban.

If you’re going to play with the “exploit” word though, then anyone who is caught cheating on a pub server could claim it was an exploit. Are you going to unban all people who got banned for wallhacking on pub servers? Maybe some of them were using files exploits, not actual cheats.
I remember 6 years ago, I had a crap laptop, and I tried to upgrade the video driver, but no updates from the manufacturer, so I tried some unoriginal that came with windows xp, and resulted in that I could literally see players through thin walls in cs 1.6.

Yeah Bill, Playa made the recording, but they knew about Blorg before he joined that mumble already (as the “crying like a little girl” thing pointed out), so somebody leaked that information to other people who had nothing to do with it at all.
And who says that was konr? Any proof for that? I know some people would like to see konr basically burned at the stake but there’s no need for baseless accusations. Considering Blorg was quite open with it (after he admitted it to phy who proceeded to spread that around all you had to do was ask and he’d admit), it could very well have been someone else.

Konr didn’t link the recording to anyone, The only person he linked it to was me and mumble. And I accidentily instead of sending it to playa in mumble sent it to our team mumble channel, konr cant be blamed for this. I should be blamed for it, I was the one putting these grudges onto blorg in the first place. Blorg had what was coming to him, but all the pastebins that got out aren’t from konr. Konr never uses pastebin. The conversations that got out into public were already out before Blorg got banned, the only pastebin that could make a problem is the one of him & gubbins. About the speedhacking demo’s. Some servers have premium mod’s on them for critting or speedboosts. Not to mention constant invisible spy’s and god knows what more. That’s why it’s impossible for an AC team to ban someone based on that. Those are just sourcemods, that any admin can install. Triggerbots are different :)

@Buffalo – If I’d be asked for a pack of demos after every single pcw map, I’d be too lazy to upload all of them aswell. He has never refused to upload official demos (the only case he has to) Everyone wanted stefan to be banned, now in prem everyone shut up :P Danny won’t be prem because we can’t handle that, so everyone continues crying.
And you said yourself not too long ago that you checked him when he trialed for you and he’s 100% legit. His skill didn’t increase since this day and if you changed your mind now (even if you’re out of AC now) because everyone thinks like that, it shows that the AC team is not reliable and does its work with arbitrariness.

Its not that I dont think you have.. but the way you and blorg are spamming this thread with accusations, running your own seperate ac section, its just funny.
And still, I dont get why.. you make hacks yourself, and sell/give to other players, and yet you try to bust everyone else who use cheats.. I find it very silly..
There’s a very simple answer to that, Gubbins knew about me for like 7-8 months (met him through phytek), I believed that would help me not getting banned, surprise, I wasn’t. The same Gubbins offered me to join the AC team because, surprise, I actually know what I’m doing. From what I heard Racio was the one actively trying to get me banned as both konr and Gubbins initially didn’t care about me (they did decide to ban blorg at the time).
And yes, quad, you were a difficult case and I still find it hard to believe. But people say you proved yourself at LAN so I’ll go with that.
In the end phytek didn’t give a damn any more and everything came out (I’m accusing phytek here but various sources show playa being involved as well, both playa and phytek are trying very hard to say playa had nothing to do with it).
Lesson learned: If you must cheat, do it anonymously.
