Monday Night Madness #1 – Prolane
April 12, 2010
Well the first Monday Night Madness is upon us, and it’s quite exciting! 32 teams have entered, and have been split into two brackets – higher and lower. Matches will be played every 45 minutes, with the results to be submitted to the website in the usual way.
I don’t want to write another lengthy post explaining everything, so this will be a simple summary of the details.
Map: cp_prolane_rc3 (Download here)
High Bracket: Click here
Low Bracket: Click here
Round1: 20CEST
Quarter Final: 20:45CEST
Semi Final: 21:30CEST
Final: 22:15CEST
Please contact your opponents in #etf2l on IRC, so ensure at least one of your team is in there at all times. If you have any problems with contacting your opponents, please talk to an Admin.
Finally – It’s very important that matches start on time and are played on time. If you match is going to start more than 10mins after the scheduled deadline, please reduce the map time on the server to 15 or 20 minutes, to ensure that you get the game played. If your game is late and no score has been submitted, nor has anyone spoken to an Admin, we reserve the right to use a coin flip to decide the winner – or in a serious case to disqualify both teams.
So that’s a brief summary of what’s happening and the times you should be playing! Good luck to all teams :) Please look out for the feedback thread at the end of the tournament so that we can get some valuable feedback about the map.
Let the madness begin!
Madness?
This is ETF2Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Poor show d2m, I am disappoint.
nice show, I am disappointed
I like the strict scheduling rules, that’s how all 1-night cups should be played.
very nice cup. keep em coming :)
Just like to provide my feedback after what happened in the finals.
Perhaps some provision needs to be made in the future regarding draws. Prolane’s last point is a lot more open than Fastlane, but it is still possible to hold a defence there for a long time. Our golden cap round extended to over 20 minutes in a close and epic battle. I again apologise if the rules are clear on this (I couldn’t find it under “Rules”), but perhaps if the GC round runs past a certain amount of time the fixture should be decided by a roll?
^ actually i completely missed the bottom. Yeah, coin flip would have been simple enough in our case!
u could just use sudden death after a time, its seems a little less crappy than a coin toss
since the match page was removed from recent results, heres the match page for the final ;)
