Season 4: Division Seeding

The next step is done! Today we will announce our provisional Division seeding for Season 4. All 250 teams have been divided into Divisions from 1-6. Due to the increasing number of teams we had to add a 6th Division level with another six Divisions with 10 teams each. All other Division levels are keeping their structure from Season 3. The Season 4 promotion and relegation system will have some changes which are published soon.
Our provisional Division announcement is a feature for all teams. The primary function is giving teams who feel overrated and would like to play in a lower Division level time to give us a notice. But also we will give teams who feel underrated time to make a request about getting promoted to higher Division level in our final Divisions. See below for instructions.

- Write an e-mail to [email protected]
- Include the following information (for overrated teams): Team name, Current Division, Requested Division
- Include the following information (for underrated teams): Team name, Current Division, Requested Division, List of 3-5 league matches (with screenshots and/or matchlink) against higher seeded teams
- Note: We will collect some requests first and will discuss them with our admin team. It will take a few days until you will receive an answer. Please be patient.
- Request Deadline: Friday, 2nd January, 23:59 CET

morf, c0ck’s lineup isn’t div2 “worthy” anymore iirc, Tumpel said he left it, so.
also Grey, we’ll see who wins it :P
admins should rly consider demoting few usual div2 teams to div3, since its been a while and they hasnt improved while new teams form who are way better than half of those div2 teams…
if you want to demote teams which have earned their spot in the season before and have proven that they are constant and can stay longer together than one season, you misunderstood the system of a league

You must keep in your mind that teams have earnt their spots for that div from the previous 3 seasons or have recently been demoted to that div, then the big influx trying to fit teams in with the teams that have earnt their spots, although changes are available if you provide strong evidence. Contact an admin.

:( we are in 6th…formed new team with 3 – 4 th division members and now we gotta start from 6th xD sad…hope admins will help
chaotic, as said, read the news post and send some screens with results and so on, I’m sure we can shuffle things round no problems, as long as you do what we have asked! :)

I really hope that this is a mistake of some kind, as there is no chance for new 4th season teams to have earlier official ETF2L games to use as proof. And seeing as this system is for new teams that were seeded to the wrong div due to lack of information..
There’s more to life than the etf2l. And if you’ve never played a competitive match, why not start out low :)
You misunderstood. Our team has fared well against quite a lot div3 and div4 teams while playing under the ETF2L ruleset, but those haven’t been official league games. Hopefully that doesn’t mean we’re div6 because the games weren’t played as league matches. Anyways, we’re gathering some proof for the e-mail that you will receive before friday night. :)
^ Official matches would be nice as in hindsight PCW’s are PCW’s, where people practice tactics and so on :), if you don’t have any official matches played, thats cool, just provide as many ss’s as you can. We are not here to be all nasty and force you to play in divisions where you are too strong/weak :D
why do you even bother having playoff matches for promotion and demotion? Its all done by requests and common sense anyway? Yes it sucks to have divisions with unbalanced teams, but this makes the value of fighting to win weaken. Oh, right.. its just a game! I almost forgot :)
