Rule Reminders
September 2, 2008
The first regular Week is official over. Their already were some positive and negative aspects; biggest negative aspects is about a lot teams dropping out in the last two days. Especially Division 3 will keep some open spots which can’t be replaced anymore.
We will probably do 2 very late replacements this evening and inform affected teams. No more replacements will be done from Thursday on, so we please all teams to keep alive ;-)
As we had quite a lot questions and issues during the last week aswell, we would like to remember all teams about some rules. Please always search for an answer for your question at our FAQ [Link] or Rules [Link] Page first. If you don’t find any help there, feel free to contact an admin by IRC, Forum or E-Mail.
Also don’t forget Week 2 Schedule Deadline is tomorrow, 23:59 CET. All matches who aren’t scheduled by this will get a League Default Date.
Rule Notes/Reminders
- Status screenshots
Please always make a status screenshot before a match starts or after a team swapped a player after map change. Remember without a status screenshot your opponent could use any players/fakers in a match up.
- Gravelpit screenshots
Many people upload a 0:0 scoreboard screenshot as gravelpit result which is no help to comprehend the entered score. Please always upload a screenshot of every round which shows the winner. (Example: [Link])
- Stopwatch Maps – Result possibilities
Please notice all Stopwatch Maps results are counted in played Rounds. Possible results for cp_dustbowl and pl_goldrush are just 1:0 or 0:1, cp_gravelpit can only end 2:0, 1:1 or 0:2. Please don’t submit any other result versions.
- Ringer Rules
Every team must field at least 5 players for a match. Your opponent can allow you up to 2 ringers if you don’t field a complete team. If your opponent’s team doesn’t agree on ringer you will have to play 5on6 or give away a Default Win/Loss.
- A map can be stopped earlier if one team reaches a lead difference of 8 points
We recommend stopping a map before the timelimit is over if one team reaches a lead of 8 more captures then their opponent. This is, however, by the discretion of the losing team.
- Map Overtime
A normal map overtime is counting to the additional timelimit. Both teams have to go on playing if a map goes into overtime.
There is no overtime on ctf maps, right? At least I know I have held the intelligence in turbine when the timelimit hit and there was no overtime (and it was with the etf2l config).
Would appreciate it if someone could define “ringer”. Which players can be classified as a ringer? Must it be from a second squad of the team or can he be from any team? Must it be some player from another division or can he be someone from the same division (e.g. is player x from clan y allowed to play for z altough thex bother play div 3a)? Has the ringer to be from the same div level or lower?
Players that are not on the relevent teams roster = ringer, it can be anyone you like :)
f2 – the only time there is overtime in ctf maps is if both intels have been touched and have not returned when the map time runs out, the overtime then lasts untill either both intels return, or when 1 intel is captured
“Players that are not on the relevent teams roster = ringer, it can be anyone you like :)”
And it’s absolutely ok if the other team agrees with it? Sweet, let’s take in some guys. Stealthy, you up for scouting? :D jk.
about ringer, we will se many div1 ppls on div4 matches lol( i mind the big rosik on the opponent team ehehe)
kthx wlv :)
@ F2 dk
afaik there is only a normal map overtime in ctf when the teams are tied and one or both ints are on the run
not when you are behind by one but on the run with the enemy int

Obviously if you ask a team, their response should be “ok, if the merc is at your level” and even then, the majority of div1 players are VERY busy, PCG Online quals and prac for the LAN, div1 etf2l, cb cups, ems restarting, etc etc :)
Ask one of the Vale players to merc.
Oh, wait, they play 36 games per day. They’re too busy :D
I’ve got a question.. If Gold Rush and Dustbowl are played only one round (so your team either attacks or defends), doesn’t that make the Stopwatch obsolete?
Or, by a round, do you mean one attack and defense per team?
We do :)
Okay, thanks ;)
