Hotmail, Gravelpit & Dustbowl
December 11, 2007
At first we have to apologize there is a problem for users who registered with a hotmail email address. As it looks like these users don’t get the confirmation email with their password. If you are affected by this bug please contact us. We are trying to solve the problem as soon as possible.
As we already guessed before, the custom maps will have to fight at the voting’s for their possible addition to the mappool. We decided to extend the mappool votes until Thursday 19CET as two of the votes nearly have 50% for each answer at the moment. Not voted yet? Have a look at the end of the 2nd news on this site!
Today we finally open a vote for possible dustbowl & gravelpit score systems. Of course the normal score system will be a voting option as well, but remember many matches on these maps will possible end in a draw then. We hope to find a good way of score system by this vote. But still we are up for discussions or constructive criticism in the comments or on the forum. The vote will also end coming Thursday, 19CET.
Some explaining of the possible dustbowl & gravelpit score systems:
a) Fixed Round-Timelimits
There is a fixed time limit for every attack/defend round. Timelimits (not final!): gravelpit ~12mins/round, dustbowl ~18mins/round (~6mins/stage)
b) Change of Respawn Delay
Respawn delays could be changed. Attacking team could get longer respawn delays then the defending team
c) Change of Additional Times
Dustbowl additional times could be changed from 4:30 minutes to 3:00 minutes. On gravelpit, additional times could be changed from 3 to 2 minutes
We finished a first version of the league config which is available here. Remember your server also needs to have TFTrue 1.2 installed which you can find here.
One more notice for the ETF2L Starting Cup 1st Round: Team’s admins will have to make a status screenshot of players Steam IDs before game starts and a scoreboard screenshot at the end of the match. These have to be uploaded to the league site.
As that’s the last news post before Season 1 Sign-Ups end we remember you again to register your team! The next two days is your very last chance to participate in the 1st Season! Remember there will be a division format, so every skill level can sign up and have some competitive fun!
After the Sign-Ups are finished, we will work on the division format. When the divisions are set, all teams can pick their maps. The 1st Season will start in the week of the 7th January.

changing the additional times would imho be the best option to reduce those 1-1/2-2-draws.
