Welcome to the Season 34 Low Quarter Finals!
This match will be played as a best-of-three.
Maps will be decided using the following Map Elimination System:
Team A bans a map
Team B bans a map
Team B picks 1st map
Team A picks 2nd map
Casual Tryhards picks 3rd map
As the higher seed Casual Tryhards can decide if they want to begin the pick/ban as “Team A” or if Flexing with my non-diagnosed depression have to.

Meh, we lost bc our teams coms were full of toxicity and people fed instead of holding, or just didn’t know how to hold. We had no right to win any of those games ngl
Blaming drops on losing the game, when we simply lost snake bc we just suck even tho there was no drops, ain’t gonna make u seem better at the game sadly
Tbh, They won because they played better than us on the day. I agree we shouldn’t have won and if we did i would have laughed.
Personally, We was all playing like garbage and there was a lot of miss communication within the team but it happens. I wouldn’t be salty about anything that happened tbh tim, After all it’s just a game :D

My team played basically 5v6 against you guys. I had average of 100 ping and froze every 6 sec. (look at my logs)
I dont get how it didnt come to your mind to just rush me and kill me if you were so confident.
How to roast offside and herpestim team can be done by just sharing their match history.
For a team that shouldve been in mid, this is pretty tragic.
I suggest going open to get further than quarter finals, or maybe even try fresh meat again @botside.

Denying medics that played div 1 or 2 in low is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. You allow high experienced medics to play in fresh meat, but in a regular season you punish teams for it? If it was a dm-class sure, but a medic?
If you wanna prevent higher level medics to coach/help teams that are playing in low/open, I guess they just have to wait two years for the fresh meat challenge. And it’s not even that Casual Tryhard’s roster is stacked like some other (including my own) low teams, only Greyhunter played above low.

also in all seriousness, to add to what timtum said, i think rosters need to be in some capacity be regulated for some aproximation of the experience rule before provisional signups, even if its more lax at that point than during the actual season just so that here is actual consistency between season as to what is fine in low, cause on paper alot of playoffs teams would have more than 2 points in the current system but its fine since they signed up with it but if 6 random open moveups decide to add a div2 player regardless on class later it breaks the rules
Tbf if you add an experienced player during the season and let the admins know and ask for permission while doing so it should be fine and said player get treated just as players added before the season started. This always worked for me at least
For the record, this is the exact chain of events between us and the admins earlier in the season:
1) Half way through season we responded to two rec posts asking for Low as Demo (JLEBs – d2 experience) and Mid/Low as Medic (Ascend – who had 4 d2 games in s32 as med otherwise mid or low for last 4 seasons)
2) We asked admins straight away about both rec posts
3) Admins denied JLEBs but said Ascend is okay to recruit (we have screenshots of this)
4) We add Ascend to roster and use him as med for two weeks. Our old medic leaves our team.
5) Admins come back two weeks later out of nowhere and give us a minor for using Ascend
6) We complain and show screenshots of them saying yes
7) After thinking for ages, Admins come back claiming they thought Ascend would play on demo, even though the rec post doesn’t say that and we certainly didn’t say that – unfortunately we never took screenshot of entire conversation so we cant prove definitively that we didn’t say Ascend on demo, but the Rec post is pretty clear evidence he asked for med.
8) So they say Ascend can stay if he plays combat classes and not med and remove minor warning.
Quite frankly, our entire combat roster is Open and Low players and they enjoy playing their positions, and our med had already left. Why should they all be punished through a class reshuffle for an Admin mistake?
Every other team in Low recognises what a farce it is to be afraid of a player with 4 matches of d2 experience on Medic while at the same time allowing them to play combat …

I thought ETF2L was going in the right direction last season by posting a clear overview of all the class restrictions (http://etf2l.org/forum/league/topic-35515/). Not only does it help the teams with these restricted players, it’s also an extra confirmation to prevent any misunderstandings (and I assume it helps the admins in general as well).
Sadly ETF2L completely abandoned the idea of posting this overview right after the season they’d introduced it. I’ve even asked them at the start of this season if and when this overview is going be posted, but no response at all.
This is just fucking sad not gonna lie.

As duckers pointed out in our discord, back in S29 Lego had a similar situation where someone played a class even though he was not allowed to play that class (http://etf2l.org/matches/72209/). But back then the solution was to replay the match/map instead of giving Lego a default loss.
Especially if there was a misunderstanding this time between the admins and Casual Tryhards, why a default loss this time?
We suggested to replay the match but so far it was only said:”not really as there isn’t time for this.”
Toxy, you guys cut riis because he said he wanted to play and you told him you was trailing over medics and of course a div2 medic is going to be better than a lower experienced player.
Also replaying the match wouldn’t ever be considered as you ignored what an ETF2L admin said which was ” [Thursday 21:03]

I proceeded to send this very message in chat which not only you ignored but your team. This was in the golden cap then you still used ascend on medic again in snakewater. So replaying even if there was time probably wouldn’t have even been considered due to you ignoring what the admin said again not just once, Twice.
He has to be allowed to play medic is what aoshi told me and i didn’t allow him @timtum so thus the default and not a replay

isnt the hijack rule broken anyway, 3 players in this match where added to their roster past provisional tiers and judging by the current roster rundown they plan to play with 4 added past provisionals next match too so its not like this team can play without continued rulebreaking either and if people ragequitting counts as something that makes admins give teams an exception im baffled
@offside the match with lego they also ignored what the admins said and played on main classes even though they were told not to, it’s the same thing
The admins told Casual Tryhards one week before the roster lock that Ascend wasn’t allowed to play med anymore, after letting him play med in week 4+5 without a problem. How do you expect Casual Tryhards to trial a med in one week just before the roster lock while still having to play their week 6 match?
I mean, I wouldn’t expect it but you know how etf2l is with roster issues. Tbh they should have gotten subs on board like every other normal teams, then i don’t think the issue would have gone this far.
I mean etf2l is to blame for some things but then on the other hand you have to consider that a team can find subs and if they don’t it’s down to them

Its hard to reason with straight up incompetent admins.
My team reached semi finals with 4 players who only had 2 seasons of exp. We’ve been denied over 10 mercs (by sandbagging teams), still im happy to have played for CasualTryhards
