TF2 Minimizes at launch Help :S

heyy,
Bit of a random problem, just came up last night.
I launch tf2 and it gets to the loading on the main menu, then it just decides to minimize and I cant get it to open back up, so it ends up crashing.
Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? As I said, never happened before only since last night… thanks for any help in advance :)
I had the same problem which I managed to fix just by restarting steam I think, maybe restarting my pc. It went for a while and then came back, so far thats the only thing I’ve done to try and fix it.
Seems like it fixes it but doesn’t really sort the problem out in the long term, but give it a go, if you haven’t already of course.
Expert advice – turn it off and on again.
Changed/installed anything recently?
Try closing everything you dont need in your processes and then load tf2.
Make sure all launch options have been deleted.
Delete clientregistry.blob
try validating tf2 files?
do you use chris’ fps cfg? I used to, removed it and the problem went away. same for everything turning black after tabbing back in

strange, i’ve never had that (or had anyone mention it to me). which config was that?

nopes dont use chris’ config,
have deleted all my launch options, still no diff
validated files, still no diff
I’ll try delete that blob file, see what happens :S
edit – that did nothing either

your personal one from your site. it also turned tyres and what not into extremely bright colours. trippyyyyyyy
I had this some time ago, fixed it by closing most things down on the background (Msn, firefox and other shitty stuff).
Had this some time ago. Just add -maximize to your launch options and you should be fine ;)
