How many of you have actually made a complaint about this to VM? If not enough people actually do anything naturally they’re not going to look at fixing anything.

Raise awareness!

It’s funny how they ask you for a tracert to show where the delay is, and then continue to completely deny the obvious issue your tracerts show. Maybe you need to explicitly point out that the delay IS in their network? I mean, it’s obvious in the tracert outputs, but it appears they’re not even looking at them..

From your last post on the first page in that thread:

4 154 ms 17 ms 153 ms nrth-bb-1b-as2-0.network.virginmedia.net [62.253
.185.101]

That really is unacceptable.. In your OP you state you had to convince your parents to move from away from Sky, and they STILL deny to acknowledge your issue.. wtf :D

Which you know is always a great response to get from someone who is providing a flawed service. He’s practically telling you it’s not economically intresting for them to fix because it doesn’t effect enough people.

Not even that; they are saying the delay is not in their end, while the tracert outputs clearly show that it is.

Rin

My friend who is with VM constantly complains about lag, jitter and packet loss. He’s paying for the top-tier package as well…

I don’t have any experience with them myself as fibre-optic or cable isn’t and will never be available out where I live, but make plenty of noise about it and they’ll eventually have no choice but to take notice of their issues. That’s how I used to do things with TalkTalk before I switched, at least.

Sigh, we signed into a pretty long contract with VM unfortunately that restricts us to them for about another year. I honestly don’t know what i can do at this point.

RIPMOULD

Point out that they are not providing the service they promised, which is a breach of contract on their end. Leave and go to BeThere.
