useing also chris fps configs, max quality etc works well but the best fps Ißm getting with chris dx 9 fps cfg….stable 120fps with the 460gtx….
be sure you running it in -dxlevel 95

high fps etc works much worse on my pc…

anyway…very ppor performance on tf2…terrible tearing and so on

gl finding a cfg…

yup i had it on 95. directx9 config just seems like makes graphics worse without gaining any fps.

I know it doesn’t make graphics better? I said it makes graphics worse while I should get FPS gain but I don’t.

check your nividia system settings und 3d-settings, programmsettings or something like that(look for tf2): most things should be automatic or app controlled….

otherwise….delete team fortress 2 folder and restart, check in your task manager your processor affinity( maybe uncheck the first 2 and look if it works better

also you could try : turn virus programs off, steam cloud, skype, messangers etc

No idea what -high thing you mean, multicore is on. I always switch off messagers and shit, anti virus has gaming profile on so it shouldn’t be affecting anything

It has gaming profile on which means no real time scan happens while I’m in game, while it also has had steam folder on exclude list ever since I’ve heard about it.

I tested this last night and didn’t drop below 80 frames. It was generally stable at 100fps in a 32 man pub, compared to 180 with dx9 high frames configuration in same map with 32 men.

i5 750 @ 4.1ghz
shit ram 4gb 1200mhz
2 x 4850 in crossfire

I was impressed at the performance on Max quality tbh, has there been a lot of dx9 optimization for tf2 recently?

played coupel hours of tf2, i’m getting a slight stutter every 10-20mins or so of playing, this has been a problem for a while, fps is still pretty shitty. temp of cpu and gpu are very low.
