Resolution Problem

I cant get my native res which is 1600×900 to work in windows 7 it only shows 1600×1200 and not 1600×900. My card is a ATI HD Radeon 4350 which its maximum res is 2048×1536. so i was wondering if anybody knew how to get my native res to work

Silly questions first: Have you tried (re)installing your video drivers?

My 12 year old sister knows this, and shes not even interested in computers. If you haven’t reinstalled your drivers yet, no bloody wonder.
Also check if there are any drivers for your monitor, it may help your W7 to identify your monitor.

update your drivers or try powerstrip: http://entechtaiwan.com/util/ps.shtm
officially 1600×900 isn’t a valid resolution, since all resolutions should be evenly divisible by 8.
Try the starting parameters “-width 1600 -height 900”
Dunno if it works for not supported resolutions though…
