Is there a way to make P-REC work for L4D2 or CSS?

or is there some kind of alternative? i like to play dead games and sometimes funny shit happens ty :)
Considering that Orange stopped the development of the plugin this is highly unlikely. Even if someone writes an alternative it would need to get signed by Valve before being usable on secure servers.
