A guy started talking to me on Steam. At some point in the conversation he said he wanted to join my clan… (Changed his name out of politeness. If he reads this, that means he’s finally on the right track :) )

me: Anyway, do you have any experience with competitive TF2?

SomeGuy: but those clans suck

me: so what kind of skill level you think you have?
SomeGuy: well i played tf2 for a year or so (non-stoply) and i think im expert
SomeGuy: and i studied the game before i got it
me: are your current clans active in any leagues?
SomeGuy: barely
me: ok
SomeGuy: i played earlier in a lot of clan matches
me: TF2?
SomeGuy: ye
SomeGuy: and other games too
SomeGuy: but mostly TF2
me: ok
me: have you played pickups?
SomeGuy: from time to time…
SomeGuy: yes

me: how come you are in 2 clans right now?
SomeGuy: they are kinda less active as a clan…sooo….they suck like i said before

me: What you should do if you want to play in a comp. clan:
me: 1. Play pickups
me: 2. Go to the ETF2L site (European TF2 League)
me: 3. Register, make an application to say that you’re looking for a clan
SomeGuy: that’s pain in the ass so i’d rather not
me: why do you think that’s a pain in the ass?
SomeGuy: i dont wanna go that far with that stuff…
me: maybe you understand me wrong. The ETF2L is not some kind of championship
me: it’s more of a ….
SomeGuy: its pain to search for sites register,…
me: organisation, that has a couple of Divisions. Div 1. is professional, Div. 6 is more for fun
me: well this is the site to go to if you want to play in a European TF2 clan
SomeGuy: i dont wanna register and stuff
SomeGuy: i just wanna be invited to steam group

Considering I’m better than you, and have used the option to Concede… once? throughout my whole time playing, whereas you concede at every opportunity, I doubt that :P
