Africans that speak some weird slang of dutch or something from the old colonials
or to copy paste a smart guy from youtube (probably Chris);
“Afrikaans is drastically different from any other (old or new) form of dutch. The original colonials spoke Dutch (with Dutch being the official written language well into the 1900s). But the French, Germans, English, Malayans and locals all began speaking Dutch too, influencing the local Dutch into speaking Afrikaans. While similar to Dutch, it is unique to South Africa, with it’s own simplifications and additions.”
