Mouse: Zowie EC1 Black
Mousemat: Boogie Bug
Keyboard: Logitech G15 (v1)
Monitor: BenQ XL2410T 120hz
I don’t think having most of this makes me a better (or worse) player but I do enjoy using them, I liked playing on people’s 120hz monitors at LAN and now I can’t imagine going back to 60hz
Also for the amount of time I spend using my computer I think paying out for these kind of things is fine

I have a 17″ dell monitor that was manufactured in 2001. It’s probably got input lag in the region of around 2 years

but if you spend a lot of time at your pc its still a good idea to buy good equip. or equip that you find comfortable. I don’t understand why anyone would stick with shit stuff.
keyboard doesn’t make much difference but monitor and mouse was my first upgrade when i was about 14 to make everything more comfortable/ better to look at/last longer :D
Since when did this thread turn into a “what’s your gaming gear?” :D
Might as well jump on.
Mouse – QPad 5k
Mousepad – corepad xxxl
Keyboard – Razer Lycosa
Monitor – Samsung SyncMaster 1100DF CRT
I do think that the gaming peripherals allow you to play your current best. If I didn’t have a mouse who could keep up with my fast movements with such a low sens that I use, that would definitely make me play worse.
With gaming gear that works to your expectations you can game without worrying about stupid shit like if a button sticks or mouse skips… It’s all about consistency, perfectly smooth mouse, constant fps without any drops, good hz that makes the whole game much smoother. Also very important that you and your teammates have good microphones, hate when I can’t hear the calls.
It’s all about that little extra edge of advantage which you get from your gear, tweaks and settings. When you add all the little things together it usually makes a big deal. I can’t play any game anymore without tweaking every setting which I find important.

Keyboard – some benq peace of shit
Headset – Some random music headphones from Philips. Good base tho!
Mic – Standalone
Mousemat – none.. got tired of them because i switch my senses too often. Just ducktaped a peace of cloth sheet on my table. Best invention since the wheel. Works like a charm!
Monitor – Philips LCD 19” 75hz
Mouse – http://realshop.com.ua/components/com_virtuemart/show_image_in_imgtag.php?filename=resized/1273139871.jpg&newxsize=90&newysize=90&fileout=
A random brand. As long as works its fine. I can switch dpi settings and it has a led. Screw the haters, im on a budget, lol!
I’m disappointed that noone responded to my first post. Obviously it was meant to provoke, but I’m sincerely curious in which ways sports doping has an effect on gamers. Anyhoo, if y’all are scared of drugs I’ll just continue the pedestrian side of the conversation.

So what setups do you guys have, include monitor and other weird stuff like mouse bungees.. This is mine;
I got the same mouse bungee, it’s actually quite handy.
– Mouse: Logitech G1, broke it. Now have a temporary worn out WMO 1.1A which sometimes right clicks for no reason (random ubers ftw!). Will buy Zowie EC2 probably, cuz I’m used to playing with prediction with the G1.
– Mat: Steelseries QcK
– Keyboard: The cheapest I can find with my preferred key layout (big Enter key, big backspace key, 3 collumn wide INS/PGDN key block). I break these things or spill my drink over it every month so no point investing here.
– Headphones: Grado RS-1 (insanely good for hearing details but bad for audiospatial pinpointing due to the slightly collapsed soundstage)
– Microphone: +48V condenser stage mic (broken, now have shit mic as temp replacement)
– Monitor: BenQ G2400WD
I liked this part on Arcy’s site:
as a result you need good quality sound to make the most of it, and for that you have to be willing to spend a bit of money. I personally prefer headsets to separate mic+headphones because they are generally cheaper
:D
mouse: mx518
mousemat: razer eXactMat
monitor: ??
keyboard: microsoft comfort curve (:D)
i’ve had the same mouse and mousemat for 1.5 years, which i think has helped my aim
I knew this thread will turn into ‘enlarge your e-penis contest’.
