I’m getting a new computer soon as mine is getting out of date. I’m looking to get a Apple Mac as i am going to use this for editing e.g. Photoshop and After Effects etc and i really like them as computers
I don’t really have a price range but i dont really want to be spending over £1000
I have been looking at the Macs and the two that im interested is Mac Mini http://www.apple.com/uk/macmini/
Or
Mac book http://www.apple.com/uk/macbook/
I really want a large screen which is why I’m not too sure about the laptop but it is a laptop which means i can take it around.
The Mac Mini is pretty ideal small and half decent but ill have to buy a monitor.
This is where i need your help
This isn’t a Mac vs Pc Thread, I’m 100% getting mac

go for a mac book, if you really have to.
The one with the brightest white and the biggest Apple on it, so you can show those guys at Starbucks who the boss is
Aren’t you a bit young for apple ?
please can someone explain whats bad about mac plz so i can sound smart when talking to one of my mac obsessed friends.
thanks
bye.
If you’re in it for the editing etc. I’d suggest a macbook pro rather than macbook. It will be worth the investment.
Although MacBook + extra memory (or Mac Mini + extra mem) would probably cut it aswell

Nothing. Each platform (like mac, windows, linux) has its pros and its cons. It’s just down to what you want/need.
What’s wrong with a mac is that some (not all) of its users are obsessed with apple, and think it’s heaven and all that. You can easily spot them, they also have an iPhone, an iPad and an altar to Steve Jobs in their house.
Oh, and they’re generally more expensive than a random PC with windows. So you “must be some crazy fanboy to buy such an overpriced item.”
To turbo: Personally, I would get a Macbook, but that’s because I like carrying my laptop around. If you want to, you can always get an external monitor for that. (Though you’ll have to buy an adapter to be able to hook it up to a macbook…)
silly people, just because I like white gadgets doesn’t mean I’m automatically an Apple-fanpersonthingy.
