Eurosport are doing a series on gaming, more specifically the Intel Extreme Masters. The episodes air on the TV channels Eurosport 1 and 2.

The first episode, in which we follow Fnatic CS 1.6, has now been uploaded to the internet aswell.

Really good to see esports getting good coverage and being taken more seriously.

Although i did get the feeling the narrator was often talking like it was some really obscure sport that only 50 people in the world take part in like dolphin surfing or tiddlywinks…

I wish it went more into depth about the actual gameplay as to the uneducated viewer watching world class players play is little different from playing halo 3 on the couch with their mates. Sure anyone can dm but it’s the team play and mind play that makes div1, div1.

Sure its good that some 1.6 got some coverage, but the commentator couldnt have sounded less enthusiastic if he tried.
Shame there was next to no actual game footage.
