Hey,
I was watching the TCM vs. IDK? match yesterday when suddenly my PC decided to overheat and crash. This is not uncommon as of yet I have no case fan. Generally, I just leave it for 5 minutes or so and re-boot it. However, this time I re-booted it and it wouldn’t go past the black screen with white writing (I cant remember what it’s called), it also made 3 rapid beep sounds (if it helps). I pressed f1 (to get to the setup window thing) and exited it to try and start windows. It won’t start windows and I get a pop-up telling me to scan my computer to see what’s wrong. The scanner finds no problems.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Stark

mrp.

if it freezes at the post screen, it means there’s something about the hard drives (mostly), so try to check with another cable or with an another hdd

and i guess, the beeps depend on your mobo, see your manual

Three beeps upon boot means memory failure with a lot of motherboards. Try putting a stick at a time in, or using a whole new set of ram and see if you post correctly.

Yea that happened to my old computer. I reaseated the ram and it worked fine.
