Yes, now it starts tf2. I’ve tried to reinstall java but it still doesn’t work.

After you try to start tf2 with the tool, do you see any folders named “lwrtcfg” “lwrtscripts” and “lwrtresource” in your tf folder?

I have the same problem (tf2 starts when i enter the command too) and I do see those folders in my tf directory.

very nice. just recorded some clips today, everything worked fine apart from randomly losing sound on some demos, but thats probably valve’s fault :D

good job.

It dosent want to play half my demos. When i try to load one, it just goes like this: http://imageshack.us/m/221/4403/udklipo.png

The demo is actully quite new. So thats not the problem.

If you have ‘enable older demos’ ticked, then you cant use newer ones, so you have to untick it for them :]

so yea this seems a pretty nice tool, but I have 2 problems.

I was able to use it the first time, only problem being when I entered my custom framerate, it would ignore it, and record at 120fps

the second time I launched the tool, it was unusable. When I tried to select anything, the text would drag out, and it was impossible to see what was going on

any ideas how to fix?

The custom fps thing is a known issue, I will fix it in the next version. For now, if you want to record at, say, 500 fps, start tf2 and write this in the console:

alias recframerate “host_framerate 500”

Or just limit yourself to the non-custom framerates.

The text thing must be an issue with your java runtime environment. Try updating java, that’s all the help I can offer on that :c

awesome to see a new recorder, seems to be nice.
Althought it should have the binds included like pldx tool had.
T for thirdperson, the thirdperson switch etc.

If this would have that, I would just love you<3

Any idea for my issue ? I’d love to start using it :(

Java was fresh installed btw.

Not much I can do in that regard, the file chooser is a native java library, so I cannot debug it.

If it is really impossible for you to choose your tf directory via file chooser, you can add it manually to the file. To do this, close the tool, go to your lawena directory, create a new file with your notepad, name it tfdir.lwf and write your tf directory path in it. Then open the tool and it should recognize your tf directory.

Do you know how to install PLDX particles to only use with this tool? since i don’t want to use them when i play normal.
