Fully allowed, has been for quite some time. I remember pissing off PyroGen by doing this and they thought it wasn’t allowed either. :D

If they didn’t they must have been awful demomen…

Edit: Why not just send demo and sollies together as scouts cap A? Baddies.

Gideon playing sniper on a team is worse than 3 people playing scout on a team anyway. This thread is silly.

Gideon also best medic RUS ))))

So it’s ok to switch to medic as soon as our medic dies, and you’re about to spawn?

Have you read anything in this thread that implies otherwise?

I think it’s a very viable strategy, not just in this case with scouts, but also with medics or even your demoman. It uses good co-ordination, players have to play multiple classes, and communication is key. Sure, just changing to a scout while your scouts are dead in order to get out to defend in time isn’t such a skilful task, but implementing this type of move at other points in the game can be difficult to pull off to great effect, but can give your team a deserved advantage.

Seen this also used by demomen on gravelpit in order to get a player up to the C tower in time.

I think a rule should be in place, that says:

Dead or Inactive* ‘respawned’ players, that remain in the spawn room do not count towards class limits.

* Inactive meaning that the player has no effect on any current game-play (e.g. opening a door, healing players, building up an uber or charge of any kind).
