rayshud v7.2.2015 has been released!

Sorry for the late update guys! I’m a little rusty to the HUD game and I was very busy today.

It includes the following changes:

– Fixed scoreboards to support campaign medals.
– Fixed item panels when in spectator.
– Fixed mouse-over item panels when in the store, loadout screen, or backpack.
– Added in support for the new weapon skins.
. Fixed the scoreboard columns being displayed improperly.
– Removed the End of the Line duck and added support for the new Gun Mettle campaign on the main menu.
– Moved the location of the campaign button to match with the rest of the menu.
– Shortened the width field of the “Quit” button so it’s not accidentally pressed when trying to clear notifications.
– A new version system for the HUD: Version numbers will now be based off of date rather than a random, arbitrary value.

A few notes about this update:

While I was able to fix a lot, there’s still a few visible issues with the current version of the HUD. A list of known bugs includes:

– Ping getting cut off of the scoreboard when playing in lower resolutions.
– Misalignment of the tournament spectator panels.
– Misalignment of the background behind the font when inspecting a skinned weapon.
– Borders on the backpack not showing up when “Show Quality Color Borders” and “Show Marketable Borders Only”
– Various elements of the tournament ready up system.

While I’ll continue to work on the HUD more throughout the day, unless something changes it looks like I won’t be able to keep the current tournament spectator panels unless Valve changes something.

The tournament ready up system is spotty because I didn’t have an opportunity to test it earlier although I’m certain various elements within it have changed.

As for the backpack borders and scoreboard clipping; I’ll see what I can do over the next few days but I should hopefully be able to throw something together for each of those.

As always, if you have any other issues with this version, please post here so I can be aware of them and do my best to fix them.

Late? Holy shit, you’re still pretty much the first one to update their custom hud and you don’t even play this game any more. Thanks a lot man.

rayshud v2015.7.12 has been released!

This update was pretty long overdue after my initial Gun Mettle release, so sorry for getting it out so late! This should fix most of the issues that people had with the original patch I put out.

That being said, I didn’t have time to test the player-based ready system (as I edited it by myself), so there might be some weird errors when people are on different teams. If that’s the case, please let me know so I can fix it!

This version includes the following changes:

– Fixed the scoreboard to prevent ping from being cut off at lower resolutions.
– Updated the backpack and loadout panels to show proper item quality colors.
– Added in support for matchmaking (menus) upon its release.
– Updated the mouse-over item panels to have a solid gray background instead of the original TF2 gradient.
– Updated the collection mouse-over item panels to reflect the proper collection item/rarity when in the backpack or loadout screens.
– Removed an unnecessary space in the class selection screen to help maintain consistency.
– Added in support for the player-based ready system when in tournament mode.
– Added in player names above the health meters when in spectate mode.
– Changed the HUD version system a final time (updated it so that the new format is vYYYY.MM.DD for means of consistency with other version systems).

rayshud v2015.8.27 has been released!

This update should fix all the trade up contract bugs, as well as fix a few other issues that have been bugging me for awhile. Nothing too special, but you should be able to use trade up on my HUD with no issues now.

NOTE: This update does not have support for the new PASS time game mode. This is because its still in beta and constantly is changing (including the HUD used for it). Once it’s removed from a beta state and is more finalized, I’ll add a prettier looking UI for it assuming there’s enough interest.

This version includes the following changes:

– Fixed the scoreboard to prevent ping from being cut off at 4×3 resolutions.
– Fixed the scoreboard colors changing to a lime green on a stats panel.
– Fixed the item inspect panel getting cut off on the right hand side in kill-cams.
– Added new items to the promotional cycle on the main menu.

rayshud v2015.10.6 has been released!

This update isn’t technically mandatory. All it does is edit the main menu and quickplay menus to support Invasion and remove traces of Gun Mettle, but I figured I’d throw it out there anyways.

Also, I know the green scoreboard isn’t totally finished, but I’m in the process of re-designing the scoreboard altogether so I might potentially just finish that up and release the new scoreboard alongside the fix. Sorry for the inconvenience!

This version includes the following changes:

– Removed traces of Gun Mettle on the main menu; added in support for Invasion.
– Added in an Invasion splash screen image on the quickplay dialogue to reflect the new update.
