Hello folks,

i have a few suggestions to make to your official server config regarding rate settings.

It has come to my attention, that not few players are using different server ratings on their server on purpose, to gain a little advantage over other players while playing on their own server.

The server rates need to be restricted to insure a fun and equal clanplay in competitive gaming.

Those are the settings:

sv_minrate “20000”
sv_maxrate “30000”
decalfrequency “60”
sv_maxupdaterate “101”
sv_minupdaterate “60”
sv_maxcmdrate “101”
sv_mincmdrate “60”

I will issue this inquiery to every international league.

cl_interp_ratio 2 maybe too …

In the ETF2L config there is now this:

sv_client_max_interp_ratio 1 ;wait10
sv_client_min_interp_ratio 1 ;wait10

but the value’s should be 2

sv_client_max_interp_ratio doesnt really matter afaik, since no one uses cl_interp_ratio

tf2 still uns with cl_interp

Uhh, correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t that sv_client_max_interp_ratio just the multiplier for the cl_interp value? Now if the etf2l cfg is on the server, I’d need to use cl_interp 0.025 on a server where I would normally use 0.05? Where’s the point in that? Just making things harder for us poor players :(

Why use maxupdaterate/cmdrate 100 when server ticrate is 66!? Or is it just me who doesnt know how to raise server tic. And btw interp_ratio 2, great idea! I propose minupdaterate 50 and maxupdaterate 66 as the ideal solution. Btw changing sv_maxunlag to 0.03 could erase those unwanted shots thru walls.
