It’s time to join up for this Sunday’s razer cup. It’s getting casted so I hope there will be some good games going on!

the ruleset that allows a player to be in an unlimited amount of teams is total bs, because of it there are a few teams with approximately 40 prem peeps in them that form a mix for every cup.

i like the idea of maybe 3 actual prem teams fighting for the prize money and some top-high teams contesting them for the money and the open-mid teams playing for practise/fun/recognition. the tournaments have healthy participant numbers and high quality games in the upper rounds.
problem with the razer cups is that any teams below high cba joining because they’ll be seeded against a low-prem mix in round 1 anyway and be kicked out. and that’s not a
“learning experience because those mix teams won’t showcase proper teamplay but simply outclass you in general gamesense and dm. it’s just logic they’d rather look for a scrim at 20:00 to get a chance to practise and have fun.

so now we have few participants, all the low prem mixes will lose to any actual active prem teams anyway and high teams cant really get in gears playing one or two none prem teams at first so there are no big upsets in the finals with a high team beating the likes of tlr /reason/ full tilt then

The rule has nothing to do with why prem mixes are forming. If there was no rule like that they’d just make a new team every time. You’ve completely and utterly mixed up cause and effect.

And if you think you have a better chance of beating a prem team than a prem mix you’re delusional. You’re making excuses to yourself for why you can’t be bothered signing up and why it won’t be useful / fun.

It’s all just bollocks you’re talking! You can beat a prem mix easier, it will build your teamwork as you have to play together rather than attempt to out-DM them, and you’ll identify weak areas rather than just getting outplayed by a team. There’s far better chances of an upset if it’s a mix rather than a full team, it’s just obvious.

This is the problem for the Razer cups. Their timing. With 2 lans in a row and pre-season trials… how did they expect to get lots of teams ? That`s the reason August/September is a terrible idea for cups.
