How to turn medigun beam off?

One of last updates had “fix” for medigun beam “issue” but i don’t want to see this crap so is there any way to turn it off again so i could see only flying сrosses?

viewmodel_fov 0 is the only way to turn off the beam.

Alternatively, you can just install an invisible sprite for the beam, but it won’t work in the competetive mode.

There is no other way, sorry.

i think i know exactly what you’re asking for, but i just dont seem to remember how it’s done, not sure if it’s a fps config that does it or whatever
