is it back or nor i can hear the orginal hitsound but can i get quake again?

Custom hitsounds:
– Must now be specified by replacing the ‘tf/sound/ui/hitsound.wav’ file.
– Can now be used under sv_pure 1/2.

Rename your quake3.wav to hitsound.wav and put it in sound/ui.

I did this, but when I go into the ingame console and type

play “ui[slashhere]hitsound.wav” I hear the original one. But when I play the file itself with winamp it’s the quake hitsound.

I’m going to assume you meant play, instead of exec. Will edit this post once I’ve tried.

Did this, plays the default TF2 hitsound not the quake one.

Meh, rebuilding the audio cache the 4th time seems to have done it, it works now anyway.
