TF2 Fps/game lag

Whenever I scope as sniper I get what looks like FPS lag, feels like FPS/Mouse lag yet I drop no FPS and it’s the same for any mouse.
Any ideas?

Caused by switching fovs proberly
I had the same, but only when I ran the game in dx9.

this. cus when you scope in dx9, you get a nice effect which “eats” some fps
