I’m running a Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.3Ghz (pro overclock), and I have my fps capped at 170, never saw it drop in 6v6s at all.
I’m running chris config (any of em deliver a constant fps for me). How much RAM and what GPU you using?

Damn that’s very tempting. Using the Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.5 GHz and it’s just not good enough for TF2.

I tried playing with chris maxquality config for a bit, didn’t see it drop below 120 in 6v6. My specs are i5 2500k @ 3.3ghz, gtx 560 ti directcu2 top and 8 gigs of ram. I haven’t tested it for a longer period of time tho, since the game is fucking unplayable at those settings, can’t see shit. Didn’t play any of the heavier maps, but I’d imagine it’ll do atleast nearly 120 all the time. Nearly stable 240fps on most fps configs.

any desktop i3/i5 setup can run tf2 with cfg on XP at >120

Well if you want tf2 to run at 120fps on the most horrendous of configs, get a e8600. It should be cheap nowadays, and goes up to 4ghz by just increasing the fsb. It will easily to 120fps on windows xp.

sounds much more expensive :D ud also need decent mobo, while u could just get cheapest i3 with cheap mobo and run tf2 on stock speed

minimoose

i3 wouldn’t be good enough for 120 stable

e8400 @ 3,6Ghz, 120 with rare drops on some shitty maps.

My PC with core i7 920 at 1366 socket with RadeOn HD4850 and 6Gb of triple channel patriot RAM holds 120 fps constantly. I play 1024×768 fuillscreen with medium to low graphics, with no AA or AF, with mipmap set to “High Performance” in Catalyst Control Center.

It looks like that

i5 @ 4.5k
Asus P8P67Pro
HD4870 1GB

Full graphics @ 1920*1200 no drops.

i7 920 stock
asus p6x58d-e

medium graphics full 100fps.

100-120 fps average.

E2200 no OC
GeForce 9600GT
4Gb RAM DDR2

I’m using chris’ highframes with some tweaks.

Recommending Phenom x4 955 BE as it easy to Overclock and i hold steady 120 never drops in a fight

Septique

i5-750 stock
gtx560ti
4gb ram
and using christ maxframes and I’ve got capped 150fps. Doesn’t drop below it.

E8400 @ 3ghz, can’t get constant 120+ fps with chris’ worst looking config @ 720×480
Maybe I should overclock it, have an aftermarket cooler, am just totally clueless as to how to do it :)

Go to bios, increase fsb to 400, done. Update mobo bios if it doesn’t work.
